Abstract

A device protecting automobile drivers from oncoming headlight glare at night time consists of polarized filters, wherein a filter with vertical polarization is used for automobile headlights, and filters with horizontal polarization are used for the automobile windscreen, or the driver's hinged sun visor, or the driver's glasses.

Description

Fokin's device against dazzling car drivers in the dark with headlights.

The invention relates to the field of traffic safety.

The invention is based on the properties of certain substances to polarize light. Light itself has a wave structure.

The present invention relates to devices designed to work with bright light sources when driving cars in the dark.

A device for blinding drivers is known: a. from. USSR N-> 5 16988, G 02 С 7/12, 1975. This device is difficult to manufacture and use and does not provide complete protection against blindness by headlights.

2350989, G 02 С 7/10, В 60 R 1/00, 2006. This device is difficult to manufacture and use and does not provide complete protection against blindness by headlights.

A device is known that uses polarizing filters, including glasses. However, the glasses are equipped with filters with different polarization. The left glass is equipped with a vertical filter, and the right - with a horizontal filter: US Pat. RF> 2096926, H * 04 N 13/00, 1995.

10. The problem to which the invention is directed, is to simplify the design and improve ease of use. This problem is solved by the fact that filters with vertical polarization are installed on the headlights of the car, and horizontal polarization is installed on the windshield of the car or on the driver's hinged visor or on the driver’s glasses, which completely eliminates the dazzle of drivers in the dark by the headlights. See FIG. 7, FIG. 8, FIG. 9, FIG. 10.
