A PLAY SADDLE
CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
10001] This application is a Continuation-in-Part of U.S. Pat. App. Ser. No. 29/598,218 filed on March 23, 2017, now pending. The patent application identified above is incorporated here by reference in its entirety to provide continuity of disclosure.
BACKGROUND
{00021 The disclosed technology relates to a play saddle.
[0003] The child's game of riding on an adult's back simulating the adult is a horse is entertaining from the standpoint of a minor child and provides satisfaction for the adult person. This game can be facilitated and made much closer to simulation of actual horseback riding by providing what is in effect a saddle to be strapped to the back of the adult person.
[0004] Prior saddles were made to resemble traditional horse saddles and were constructed from materials, e.g. leather, wood, plastics. These saddles were uncomfortable for an adult to wear and the doffing and donning of the saddle was difficult. Also, since these saddles had many hard edges and a child could easily get hurt from the saddle itself.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The disclosed technology is directed towards a play saddle that can easily be donned and doffed by an adult and has no hard edges for a child to get hurt on.
[0006} In one implementation, a play saddle comprising: a body, the body being formed from a first material, the body having a front edge, a rear edge, a left edge, a right edge, a top side and a bottom side; a first wing, the first wing having a top side, a bottom side, a length and a
width, the first wing being attached to the right edge of the body, the first wing being formed from a second material, a loop material being adhered to a portion of the top side of the first wing; a second wing, the second wing having a top side, a bottom side, a length and a width, the second wing being attached to the left edge of the body, the second wing being formed from the second materi al, a hook material is adhered to a portion of the bottom side of the second wing, wherein the loop material is capable of interlocking with the hook material.

implementations, the second material can be neoprene. In some implementations, the bottom side of the body can be covered with a fabric lining. In some implem ent ations, the fabric lining can be a plush material.

implementations, the front saddle portion and the rear saddle portion can form a seating area for a rider. In some implementations, the front edge, the rear edge, the left edge and the right edge
form a perimeter for positioning the body on a back of an adult. In some implementations, the first wing and the second wing are j oined together securing the perimeter of the body to the back of the adult.
[0011] The advantage of the play saddle of the disclosed technology is that the play saddle is made from soft material that is comfortable for the person wearing the saddle. It is easy to do and doff the saddle in a standing position and does not need the help of a second person. The play saddle does not have any hard edges for a user or rider to get hurt on. Therefore, the safety the play saddle has been greatly increased.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0022] Although specifi terms are used in the following description for sake of clarity, these terms are intended to refer only to particular structure of the invention selected for illustration in the drawings, and are not intended to define or limit the scope of the invention. f0023j As shown in Figure 9, a play saddle 1 of the disclosed technology includes a body 10 that can be securely attached to a back of a person 3 larger than a rider 2 so that the smaller rider 2 can mount the larger person 3 when the person is crawling on all fours thereby simulating ride on a horse. As shown in Figures 1 -8, the body can have a front edge 12, a rear edge 14, a right edge 16, a left edge 18, a top side 20 and a bottom side 22. The edges 12, 14, 16, 18 can protected with piping 24a-b sewn to the edges 12, 14, 16, 18. The body 10 can have length dimensions LI between the front edge 12 and rear edge 14 of approximately 16 to 30 inches and width dimensions W 1 between the left edge 18 and right edge 16 of approximately 8 to 18 inches. The body 10 can be substantially rectangular but other shapes and sizes for the body 10 are contemplated.

On the bottom side 22 of the body 10, the first material can be covered with a fabric lining 26, e.g., a plush material. The fabric lining 26 adds comfort to the play saddle 1 when the play saddle 1 is being worn by the person 3.
[0025] Attached to the right edge 16 of the body 10 is a first wing 30 and attached to the left edge 18 is a second wing 40. in some implementations, the wings 30, 40 can be made from the same material as the body 10 and in other implementations, the wings 30, 40 can be made from a material different than the body 10. In some implementations, the body 10 and the wings 30, 40 can be a single piece of material and in other implementations, the wings 30, 40 can be
separate pieces of material sewn to the body 10. For ease of reference, the materials are described as sewn to one another but other types of securement, e.g., fabric glues are
contemplated.

[0032 j In use, the front edge 12, the rear edge 14, the left edge 16 and the right edge 18 form a perimeter for positioning the body 10 on a back of the person 3. In order to secure the play saddle 1 to a person 3, the body 10 can be brought to the back of a person when in a standing position with the top edge being near the shoulders of the person and the bottom edge being near the small of back of the person. Once in place, the wings 30, 40 can be brought forward with the first wing 30 being first brought to a chest of the person allowing the loop material 38 to be facing outwards. The person can than lay the second wing 40 on top of the first wing 40 so that the hook material 48 interlocks with the loop material 38 thereby securing the body 10 of the play saddle 1 to the person 3. In other words, the first wing 30 and the second wing 40 are joined together on the chest of the person 3 thereby securing the perimeter of the body 10 to the back of the perso 3. Since the loop material 38 covers the entire first wing 30, the sizing of the play saddle is one size fits all. To remove the play saddle 1 , the second wing 40 can be lifted from the first wing 30 and thereby disengaging the loop material 38 from the hook material 48 as shown in Figure 8.

Claims
1. A play saddle comprising:
a body, the body being fonned from a first material, the body having a front edge, a rear edge, a left edge, a right edge, a top side and a bottom side;
a first wing, the first wing having a top side, a bottom side, a length and a width, the first wing being attached to the right edge of the body, the first wing being formed from a second material, a loop material being adhered to a portion of the top side of the first wing;
a second wing, the second wing ha ving a top side, a bottom side, a length and a width, the second wing being attached to the left edge of the body, the second wing being fon ed from the second material, a hook material is adhered to a portion of the bottom side of the second wing, wherein the loop material is capable of interlocking with the hook material.
2. The play saddle of Claim 1 wherein the first material is neoprene.
3. The play saddle of Claim 2 wherein the second material is neoprene.
4. The play saddle of Claim 4 wherein the bottom side of the body is covered with a fabric lining.
5. The play saddle of Claim 4 wherein the fabric lining is a plush material.
6. The play saddle of Claim 1 wherein a length of the first wing is longer than a length of the second wing.
7. The play saddle of Claim 6 wherein a width of the first wing is equal to a width of the second wing
8. The play saddle of Claim 1 further comprising:
a front saddle portion, the front saddle portion being adhered to the top side of the body.
9. The play saddle of Claim 8 wherein the front saddle portion is U-shaped and includes a soft outer exterior stuffed with soft material,

a rear saddle portion, the rear saddle portion is adhered to the top side of the body.
1 1. The play saddle of Claim 10 wherein the rear saddle portion is U-shaped and includes an outer exterior stuffed with soft material.
12. The play saddle of Claim 3 further comprising:
a handle, the handle being adhered to the top side of the body.
13. The play saddle of Claim 10 wherein the front saddle poilion and the rear saddle portion form a seating area for a rider.
14. The play saddle of Claim 1 wherein the front edge, the rear edge, the left edge and the right edge fonn a perimeter for positioning the body on a back of an adult.
15. The play saddle of Claim 14 wherein the first wing and the second wing are joined together securing the perimeter of the body to the back of the adult.
