  • Exacerbations or triggers for psoriasis may be related to skin hydration, including skin trauma, infections, cold and dry climates such as winter, dry skin, stress, and medication.
  • Psoriasis usually occurs symmetrically and occurs in areas of high irritation such as the shin, elbow, knee, sacrum, scalp, and neck. Psoriasis initially develops a small, red, grainy rash on the skin that grows larger. A new millet-like rash develops around it, which also merges with each other as it grows.
