Definitions
- the PKP Container is an innovative, practical, automatic, sustainable, effective, efficient, intelligent and environmentally-friendly waste container. It shreds both domestic and commercial waste, such as plastic 1 PET, plastic 2 HDPE/PE-HD, plastic 4 LDPE/PE- LD, plastic 5 PP, residual plastic waste, cardboard, paper, beverage cartons, metal (tin) and aluminium packagings immediately after use and separates it for reuse.
- This container to be developed is easily placeable in any kitchen, utility room, garage, bar, canteen, restaurant, workplace and public spaces (built-in, freestanding and industrial).
- the container not only has the function of storing waste, but combines this with the functions of separating waste and shredding waste to pieces of 1 mm to 40 mm in order to reduce the waste volume, whereby frequency of waste collection is reduced and the waste is collected in better separated form for reuse. This contributes toward a reduction of about 15% C02 emission for a better air quality, and so a better environment.
- the PKP Container is provided with 67 technical elements for automatically separating domestic and commercial waste.
- the PKP Container shreds plastic, cardboard and paper in individual households and commercial premises.
- the PKP Container provides every household with the option of better separation of domestic waste for better recycling (reuse) with fewer operations and with less space being required.
- the PKP Container provides every company with the option of better separation of commercial waste for better recycling (reuse) with fewer operations.
- the object of the PKP Container is to reduce the C02 emission by ⁇ 15% for a better environment. This object can be realized by immediate, better separation of the domestic waste and the commercial waste in any kitchen and at any commercial premises, whereby collection of the waste can be reduced from 250 days a year to ⁇ 43 days a year.
- the present waste collection frequency is high (250 days a year);
- Waste processors opt for mixed collection of domestic waste and commercial waste. The present collection frequency amounts to 250 days a year. Waste processors opt to build large installations which consume large amounts of energy, water and gas in order to thus wash and sort the mixed collected waste and compress it to blocks of 500 kg to 1000 kg. These compressed blocks are then transported to producers of packaging materials and to incinerators. Solution according to the invention:
- PKP Container provided with an electric motor with reducer gearbox, variable frequency drives, infeed chute, mini-shredder to shred plastic, cardboard, paper, beverage cartons, metal (tin) and aluminium packagings to pieces of 1 mm to 40 mm, and also provided with a unique Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes
- PRCLBI system specially developed for the PKP Container and a rotary platform with eight built-in waste (recycle) units for automatic waste separation.
- the PKP Container separates and shreds the waste to pieces of 1 mm to 40 mm better than existing waste containers. They are also placed directly in the (built-in) kitchen, utility room, shed/garage or workplace of individual households and company premises;
- the Container separates the waste via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System, and then shreds it to pieces of 1 mm to 40 mm. c. Less water consumption by municipalities and waste processing companies. This result can be achieved in that there is no longer mixed collection of waste.
- the PKP Container separates the waste into different units via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System. Cleaning of mixed waste is hereby no longer necessary.
- the PKP Container separates the waste into different units via the Plastic Recycling Codes logos and Barcodes Identification System. Sorting of mixed waste is hereby no longer necessary.

- the PKP Container separates the waste via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System and then shreds it to pieces of 1 mm to 30 mm.
- the plastic packaging materials are provided with a plastic recycling code.
- the PKP Container is able to recognize these plastic recycling codes via the mini-camera by means of the unique software specially developed for the PKP Container: the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system).
- PRCLBI system Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System
- the PKP Container is provided with a camera which records the recycling codes/logos. During the recording a command is sent for recognition to the database of the recycling codes on the plastic packaging material, such as: 1 PET, 2 HDPE or PE-HD, 4 LDPE or PE-LD and 5 PP (this is plastic packaging material held in front of the mini-camera of the PKP Container).
- the plastic recycling code is recognized by the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) of the PKP Container. After recording and recognition a command is sent to the lock of the loading flap so that the user can open the loading flap, and a command is sent simultaneously to the rotary platform to automatically place the recycling unit for the recognized plastic recycling code under the shredder funnel.
