Abstract
Description
本発明の課題は、付着性、溶液安定性に優れ、更に耐チッピング性に優れた塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を提供することである。
即ち、本発明者らは、下記の〔1〕~〔11〕を提供する。
〔1〕成分(A):示差走査型熱量計(DSC)により得られる融点(TmA)が90~160℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂A、及び成分(B):示差走査型熱量計(DSC)により得られる融点(TmB)が50~130℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂Bを含有し、前記成分(A)及び前記成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体が塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物(但し、|TmA-TmB|≧5℃である)。
〔2〕前記成分(A)及び前記成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体がα,β-不飽和カルボン酸又はその無水物のグラフト変性物である上記〔1〕に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
〔3〕前記成分(A)と前記成分(B)の含有比率(成分(A)/成分(B))が、90/10~10/90(但し、成分(A)+成分(B)=100とする)の範囲である上記〔1〕又は〔2〕に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
〔4〕前記成分(B)が、プロピレン成分及び他のα-オレフィン成分を含むプロピレン系ブロック共重合体であって、前記プロピレン系ブロック共重合体が、プロピレンに由来する構成単位を60質量%以上有する上記〔1〕~〔3〕のいずれかに記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
〔5〕前記成分(A)と前記成分(B)の共重合体が、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である上記〔1〕~〔4〕のいずれかに記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
〔6〕塩素含有率が10~40質量%である上記〔1〕~〔5〕のいずれかに記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
〔7〕重量平均分子量が10,000~200,000である上記〔1〕~〔6〕のいずれかに記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。

〔10〕上記〔1〕~〔7〕のいずれかに記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含む塗料用バインダー。
〔11〕上記〔1〕~〔7〕のいずれかに記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含むインキ用バインダー。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、成分(A):示差走査型熱量計(以下、「DSC」ともいう)により得られる融点(以下、「TmA」ともいう)が90~160℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂A、及び成分(B):DSCにより得られる融点(以下、「TmB」ともいう)が50~130℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂Bを含有し、該成分(A)及び成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体が塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物である(但し、|TmA-TmB|≧5℃である)。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、上記の異なる融点を持つ成分(A)及び成分(B)の、少なくとも2つの樹脂を含有する。このような塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、組成物の結晶性が一様とはならなくなるため、良好な付着性を維持しつつ、適度な弾性を持つ樹脂被膜を形成でき、さらには他の成分との相溶性にも優れるものとなる。従って、付着性、溶液安定性に優れ、更に耐チッピング性にも優れたものとなる。
成分(A)と成分(B)の融点の差の絶対値が斯かる条件を満たすことで、これらを含有する塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、その結晶性が一様ではなくなり、弾性に優れ、他の成分との相溶性に優れるものとなる。従って、付着性、溶液安定性に優れ、更に耐チッピング性にも優れたものとなる。
成分(A)は、TmAが90~160℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂Aである。
成分(A)のTmAは、90~160℃であり、好ましくは95~150℃であり、より好ましくは100~145℃である。成分(A)の融点TmAが90℃以上であることで、十分な接着強度を得ることができる。一方、融点TmAが160℃以下であることにより、低温での接着性や、溶液安定性が良好であり、低温での十分な保管安定性を得ることができる。
DSCによるTmの測定は、例えば、以下の条件で行うことができる。JIS K7121-1987に準拠し、DSC測定装置(セイコー電子工業製)を用い、約5mgの試料を200℃で10分間加熱融解状態を保持した後、10℃/分の速度で降温して-50℃で安定保持する。その後、更に10℃/分で200℃まで昇温して融解した時の融解ピーク温度を測定し、該温度をTmAとして測定し得る。
成分(A)が共重合体である場合、ランダム共重合体であってもよく、ブロック共重合体であってもよい。
これら共重合体に占めるプロピレンに由来する構成単位の割合は、共重合体全体の60質量%以上が好ましく、60~99質量%がより好ましい。なお、プロピレンに由来する構成単位等の成分(A)の構成成分の割合は、共重合体を調製する際の各単量体の仕込み量で算出することができる。
メルトフローレートの測定は、ASTM D1238に準拠し、メルトフローインデックステスタ(安田精機製作所製)にて算出することができる。
成分(B)は、TmBが50~130℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂Bである。
成分(B)のTmBは、50~130℃であり、好ましくは55~125℃であり、より好ましくは55~120℃である。成分(B)の融点TmBが50℃以上であることで、十分な接着強度を得ることができる。一方、融点TmBが130℃以下であることにより、低温での溶液安定性が良好であり、低温での十分な保管安定性を得ることができる。
成分(B)のDSCによるTmの測定は、上記の成分(A)のTmの測定と同様にして行うことができる。
なお、成分(B)の共重合体は、ランダム共重合体であってもよく、ブロック共重合体であってもよい。
ここで、ブロック共重合体とは、プロピレン成分、エチレン成分、ブテン成分等のα-オレフィン成分が、同種の単量体成分同士で一定の長さで連続的に共重合したブロック体を、その構成単位として含むものをいう。また、ランダム共重合体とは、単量体成分の配列に規則性の無い共重合体をいう。
共重合体に占めるプロピレンに由来する構成単位の割合は、共重合体全体の60質量%以上が好ましく、70質量%以上がより好ましく、80質量%以上が更に好ましい。その上限としては、100質量%以下が好ましく、97質量%以下がより好ましい。
なお、プロピレンに由来する構成単位等の成分(B)の構成成分の割合は、共重合体を調製する際の各単量体の仕込み量で算出することができる。
メルトフローレートの測定は、ASTM D1238に準拠し、メルトフローインデックステスタ(安田精機製作所製)にて算出することができる。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、上記の成分(A)及び成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体として、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂を含有する。その含有形態は、成分(A)と成分(B)の共重合体の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂として含有する形態や、成分(A)と成分(B)を混合した混合物として塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂を含有する形態等が挙げられ、必要に応じて適宜選択することができる。中でも、成分(A)と成分(B)の共重合体の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂として含有する形態が好ましい。
なお、上記成分(A)と成分(B)の含有比率は、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を製造する際の成分(A)と成分(B)の仕込み量で算出することができる。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、上記の成分(A)及び成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はその共重合体を塩素化したものである。これにより、ポリオレフィン系樹脂の非極性樹脂基材に対する付着性や、他成分との相溶性を向上させることができる。
なお、塩素化に用いるポリオレフィン系樹脂は、ポリオレフィン系樹脂A(即ち、(A)成分)のみでもよく、ポリオレフィン系樹脂B(即ち、(B)成分)のみでもよく、ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aとポリオレフィン系樹脂Bの混合物でもよく、ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aとポリオレフィン系樹脂Bの共重合体であってもよい。
ラジカル反応開始剤としては、有機過酸化物系化合物やアゾニトリル類を使用することができる。なお、有機過酸化物系化合物の詳細は後述する。
なお、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物の塩素含有率は、JIS-K7229に基づいて測定することができる。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、上記の成分(A)及び成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体を、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸又はその誘導体(以下、「成分(C)」ともいう)でグラフト変性したグラフト変性物であることが好ましい。成分(C)でグラフト変性することで、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物の付着性、溶液安定性、耐チッピング性、耐ガソホール性のいずれかを向上し得る。
成分(C)は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸及びその誘導体から選ばれる少なくとも1種の化合物であればよく、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸1種以上とその誘導体1種以上の組み合わせ、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸2種以上の組み合わせ、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸の誘導体2種以上の組み合わせであってもよい。
なお、グラフト変性に用いるポリオレフィン系樹脂は、ポリオレフィン系樹脂A(即ち、成分(A))のみでもよく、ポリオレフィン系樹脂B(即ち、成分(B))のみでもよく、ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aとポリオレフィン系樹脂Bの混合物でもよく、ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aとポリオレフィン系樹脂Bの共重合体であってもよい。また、グラフト変性に用いるポリオレフィン系樹脂は、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aのみでもよく、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂Bのみでもよく、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aと塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂Bの混合物でもよく、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂Aと塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂Bの共重合体であってもよい。
ラジカル発生剤は、1種単独のラジカル発生剤でもよいし、複数種のラジカル発生剤の組み合わせであってもよい。
なお、他のグラフト成分は、1種単独で用いてもよく、複数種を組み合わせて併用してもよい。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物は、例えば、以下の方法で製造することできる。
成分(A)と成分(B)をそれらが反応する程度に溶解する有機溶剤(例えば、トルエン等)に加熱溶解し、成分(A)と成分(B)の共重合物であるポリオレフィン系樹脂を得た後、成分(C)等のグラフト成分を加えて反応させることで変性ポリオレフィン系樹脂を得る。その後、グラスライニングされた反応釜に投入し、クロロホルムを加え所定の圧力下、昇温して十分に溶解した後、アゾビスイソブチロニトリルを加え、上記釜内圧力を制御しながら塩素ガスを吹き込み、適当な塩素含有率になるまで塩素化し、本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を得ることができる。
本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物の重量平均分子量は、10,000~200,000であることが好ましく、20,000~120,000であることがより好ましい。重量平均分子量が10,000以上であることにより、十分な接着力を発現できる。200,000以下であることにより、十分な溶剤溶解性を得ることができる。
なお、実施例を含む本発明の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物の重量平均分子量は、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(標準物質:ポリスチレン)によって測定し、算出された値である。
この塩素化(及び変性)される樹脂として、成分(A)及び成分(B)で示される異なる融点を持つポリオレフィン樹脂が含有されると、その塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物における樹脂の結晶性は一様とはならなくなるため、適度な弾性を持つ樹脂被膜を形成できるようになり、また他の成分との相溶性をさらに向上させ、溶液安定性に優れるものとなる。
これら有機溶剤は、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上の混合溶剤として樹脂組成物に含まれていてよい。環境問題の観点から、有機溶剤として、芳香族溶剤以外の溶剤を使用することが好ましく、脂環式炭化水素溶剤とエステル溶剤又はケトン溶剤との混合溶剤を使用することがより好ましい。
本発明のプライマー、塗料用バインダー又はインキ用バインダー、接着剤は、上記の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含むものである。そのため、接着性、溶液安定性、耐熱性に優れており、自動車のバンパー等ポリオレフィン基材への上塗り塗装時のプライマー、上塗り塗料やクリアーとの付着性に優れる塗料用バインダーとして好適に利用することができる。
カラム:TSK-gel G-6000 H×L、G-5000 H×L、G-4000 H×L、G-3000 H×L、 G-2000 H×L(東ソー社製)
溶離液:THF
流速:1.0mL/分
ポンプオーブン及びカラムオーブン温度:40℃
注入量:100μL
分子量標準物質:ポリスチレン(「Easical PS-1」,Agilent Technologyより供給)
(溶液性状の判断基準)
A:溶液の増粘、分離がみられず、良好な溶液性状である。
B:溶液の僅かな増粘や濁りの発生が確認されるが、分離等がみられない。
C:成分の分離はないものの、溶液中に微粒子が確認される。
D:成分の分離が目視で確認できる。
次いで、ウレタン系塗料を、プライマー層の表面に乾燥被膜厚が20~25μmになるように塗装し、室温で10分間静置してベース層を作製した。次いで、溶剤系クリア塗料を、ベース層表面に乾燥被膜厚が25~30μmになるように塗装し、室温で10分間静置し、80℃で15分間熱処理した。
以上によって得られたポリプロピレン塗装板を付着性試験に用い、ダル鋼塗装板を耐チッピング性試験及び耐ガソホール性試験に用いた。
(付着性の評価基準)
A:塗膜の剥離がない。
B:剥離した塗膜の区画が1個以上10個以下である。
C:剥離した塗膜の区画が10個より多く50個以下である。
D:剥離した塗膜の区画が50個より多く剥離した場合である。
(耐チッピング性の評価基準)
A:最も良好。評価面積当たりの剥離面積率0.0%以上0.7%未満。
B:良好。評価面積当たりの剥離面積率0.7%以上1.2%未満。
C:劣る。評価面積当たりの剥離面積率1.2%以上3.5%未満。
D:最も劣る。評価面積当たりの剥離面積率3.5%以上。
(耐ガソホール性の評価基準)
A:塗膜表面に変化がない。
B:塗膜表面にわずかに変化がみられるが剥離はみられない。
C:塗膜表面に変化がみられるが剥離は生じていない。
D:塗膜表面に剥離が生じている。
成分(A)としてエチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体A-1(プロピレン成分97質量%、エチレン成分3質量%、MFR=2.0g/10min、TmA=125℃)35部と、成分(B)としてエチレン-プロピレンのブロック共重合体B-1(プロピレン成分85質量%、エチレン成分15質量%、MFR=20.0g/10min、TmB=103℃)65部、無水マレイン酸4部、ジ-t-ブチルパーオキサイド2部を均一に混合し、二軸押出機(L/D=60、φ=15mm、第1バレル~第14バレル)に供給した。
滞留時間が10分、回転数200rpm、バレル温度が100℃(第1、2バレル)、200℃(第3~8バレル)、90℃(第9、10バレル)、110℃(第11~14バレル)の条件で反応を行い、減圧処理を行うことで未反応の無水マレイン酸を除去し、無水マレイン酸変性ポリプロピレン系樹脂を得た。
得られた無水マレイン酸変性ポリプロピレン系樹脂100部を、グラスライニングされた反応釜に投入した。これにクロロホルムを加え、2kg/cm2の圧力下、温度110℃で十分に溶解した後、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル2部を加え、上記釜内圧力を2kg/cm2に制御しながら塩素ガスを吹き込み、塩素化を行った。
反応終了後、安定剤としてエポキシ化合物(エポサイザーW-100EL、大日本インキ化学工業社製)を6部添加し、スクリューシャフト部に脱溶剤用吸引部を備えたベント付き押出機に供給して、脱溶剤し、固形化し、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である、重量平均分子量78,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物1(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=3質量%、塩素含有率=23質量%)を得た。
攪拌機、冷却管、及び滴下漏斗を取り付けた四つ口フラスコ中で、成分(A)としてエチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体A-2(プロピレン成分99質量%、エチレン成分1質量%、MFR=1.5g/10min、TmA=140℃)20部と、成分(B)としてエチレン-プロピレンのブロック共重合体B-2(プロピレン成分90質量%、エチレン成分10質量%、MFR=15g/10min、TmB=118℃)80部を、180℃の油浴中で完全に溶解した。フラスコ内の窒素置換を約10分間行った後、撹拌を行いながら無水マレイン酸4部を約5分間かけて投入し、ヘプタン1部に溶解したジ-tert-ブチルパーオキサイド0.4部を滴下ロートから約30分かけて投入した。
その後、系内を180℃に保ち、更に一時間反応を継続した後、アスピレーターでフラスコ内を減圧しながら約1時間かけて未反応の無水マレイン酸を取り除き、無水マレイン酸変性ポリプロピレン系樹脂を得た。
得られた無水マレイン酸変性ポリプロピレン系樹脂100部を、グラスライニングされた反応釜に投入した。これにクロロホルムを加え、2kg/cm2の圧力下、紫外線を照射しながら塩素ガスを吹き込み、塩素化を行った。
反応終了後、安定剤としてエポキシ化合物(エポサイザーW-100EL、大日本インキ化学工業社製)を6部添加し、スクリューシャフト部に脱溶剤用吸引部を備えたベント付き押出機に供給して、脱溶剤し、固形化し、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である、重量平均分子量60,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物2(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=5質量%、塩素含有率=15質量%)を得た。
成分(A)として、エチレン-プロピレン-ブテンのランダム共重合体A-3(プロピレン成分85質量%、エチレン成分10質量%、ブテン成分5質量%、MFR=3.7g/10min、TmA=102℃)80部と、成分(B)としてエチレン-プロピレンのブロック共重合体B-2(プロピレン成分90質量%、エチレン成分10質量%、MFR=15g/10min、TmB=118℃)20部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、重量平均分子量120,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物3(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=1質量%、塩素含有率=24質量%)を得た。
成分(A)として、エチレン-プロピレン-ブテンのランダム共重合体A-3(プロピレン成分85質量%、エチレン成分10質量%、ブテン成分5質量%、MFR=3.7g/10min、TmA=102℃)35部と、成分(B)として、エチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体B-3(プロピレン成分89質量%、エチレン成分11質量%、MFR=7g/10min、TmB=58℃)65部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、重量平均分子量20,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物4(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=3質量%、塩素含有率=30質量%)を得た。
攪拌機、冷却管、及び滴下漏斗を取り付けた四つ口フラスコ中で、成分(A)としてエチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体A-2(プロピレン成分99質量%、エチレン成分1質量%、MFR=1.5g/10min、TmA=140℃)80部と、成分(B)として、エチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体B-3(プロピレン成分89質量%、エチレン成分11質量%、MFR=7g/10min、TmB=58℃)20部を、グラスライニングされた反応釜に投入した。
これにクロロホルムを加え、2kg/cm2の圧力下、温度110℃で十分に溶解した後、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル2部を加え、上記釜内圧力を2kg/cm2に制御しながら塩素ガスを吹き込み、塩素化を行った。
反応終了後、安定剤としてエポキシ化合物(エポサイザーW-100EL、大日本インキ化学工業社製)を6部添加し、スクリューシャフト部に脱溶剤用吸引部を備えたベント付き押出機に供給して、脱溶剤し、固形化し、重量平均分子量100,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物5(塩素含有率=25質量%)を得た。
成分(A)として、エチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体A-1(プロピレン成分97質量%、エチレン成分3質量%、MFR=2.0g/10min、TmA=125℃)35部と、成分(B)として、エチレン-プロピレンのブロック共重合体B-4(プロピレン成分85質量%、エチレン成分15質量%、MFR=20g/10min、TmB=165℃)65部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、重量平均分子量80,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物6(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=3質量%、塩素含有率=23質量%)を得た。
成分(A)として、エチレン-プロピレン-ブテンのランダム共重合体A-4(プロピレン成分80質量%、エチレン成分5質量%、ブテン成分15質量%、MFR=2.8g/10min、TmA=81℃)65部と、成分(B)として、エチレン-プロピレンのブロック共重合体B-1(プロピレン成分85質量%、エチレン成分15質量%、MFR=20g/10min、TmB=103℃)35部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、重量平均分子量70,000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物7(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=10質量%、塩素含有率=20質量%)を得た。
成分(A)として、エチレン-プロピレンのランダム共重合体A-1(プロピレン成分97質量%、エチレン成分3質量%、MFR=2.0g/10min、TmA=125℃)35部と、成分(B)として、エチレン-プロピレン-ブテンのランダム共重合体B-5(プロピレン成分65質量%、エチレン成分11質量%、ブテン成分24質量%、MFR=10g/10min、TmB=48℃)65部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、重量平均分子量90000の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物8(無水マレイン酸のグラフト質量=20質量%、塩素含有率=18質量%)を得た。
Claims (11)
- 成分(A):示差走査型熱量計(DSC)により得られる融点(TmA)が90~160℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂A、及び
成分(B):示差走査型熱量計(DSC)により得られる融点(TmB)が50~130℃の範囲であるポリオレフィン系樹脂Bを含有し、
前記成分(A)及び前記成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体が塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物(但し、|TmA-TmB|≧5℃である)。 - 前記成分(A)及び前記成分(B)の少なくともいずれか、又はそれらの共重合体がα,β-不飽和カルボン酸又はその無水物のグラフト変性物である請求項1に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
- 前記成分(A)と前記成分(B)の含有比率(成分(A)/成分(B))が、90/10~10/90(但し、成分(A)+成分(B)=100とする)の範囲である請求項1又は2に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
- 前記成分(B)が、プロピレン成分及び他のα-オレフィン成分を含むプロピレン系ブロック共重合体であって、
前記プロピレン系ブロック共重合体が、プロピレンに由来する構成単位を60質量%以上有する請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。 - 前記成分(A)と前記成分(B)の共重合体が、塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂である請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
- 塩素含有率が10~40質量%である請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
- 重量平均分子量が10,000~200,000である請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含むプライマー。
- 請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含む接着剤。
- 請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含む塗料用バインダー。
- 請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の塩素化ポリオレフィン系樹脂組成物を含むインキ用バインダー。
