Abstract
The invention relates to a portable and manual device for washing fabrics by means of a gear mechanism and a system of rotating rollers, actuated by a crank, which facilitates the washing process and eliminates the need for electricity which is required for common household appliances. This device comprises a container which contains a washing solution with a grip and a manual gear mechanism, a system of rotating rollers with a rough surface that helps the washing of the fabrics, and a crank that allows the fabrics to move in a rotational way between the rotational rollers carrying out the washing.
Description
PORTABLE CLOTHES WASHER
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention can be included in the technical field of devices and appliances for washing, in particular for washing clothing fabrics and textile items.
More specifically, the object of the invention relates to a portable and manual device for washing fabrics by means of a gear mechanism and a system of rotating rollers, actuated by a crank.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Manual washers were invented in the seventeenth century to assist in the task of washing fabrics and clothing by means of containers with rollers or rotating vanes that are actuated by manual cranks.
Then, with the availability of electricity at homes, proposals began for electric washers, such as the one described in document US2018094376, which relates to a washing machine and dryer that includes a drum configured to accommodate clothing, a motor configured to actuate the drum and a flow path for the circulation of air configured to create an air flow for drying inside and outside of the drum with a dehumidifier.
Despite new technologies in home appliances for washing different types of textiles, said appliances are still fixed devices that are relatively large and need to be plugged into the electrical grid to wash different types of fabrics and textiles items.
Thus, considering the previously mentioned documents, it is necessary to find alternatives that are focused on devices for washing different textiles and fabrics that are portable, easy to use and which use less energy than current home appliances.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a portable and manual device for washing fabrics by means of a gear mechanism and a system of rotating rollers, actuated by a crank which facilitates the washing process and eliminates the need for electricity which is required for common household appliance.
Therefore, one aspect of the present invention relates to a portable and manual device for washing fabrics which comprises:
- a container containing a washing solution,
- at least one grip on the container,
- a manual gear mechanism arranged inside the container,
- a system of rotating rollers coupled to the gear mechanism which further comprises a rough surface that helps the washing of the fabrics,
- rotational shafts that connect each roller to a gear,
- connector elements that connect the gears to one another, and
- a crank connected to the gear mechanism,
wherein the fabric is introduced in the system of rotational rollers, actuated by the gear mechanism and the crank, wherein the rough surface of the rollers further allows the fabrics to rotationally move between the rotational rollers, allowing them to be washed.
In one preferred embodiment, the container is made of a rigid, impermeable and/or lightweight material.
In another preferred embodiment, the container is made of plastic.
In another preferred embodiment, the manual gear mechanism comprises a central gear and at least two side gears that are smaller than the central gear.
In another preferred embodiment, the surface of the roller coupled to the central gear has protrusions that are perpendicular to the rotational axis thereof, and the surface of the rollers coupled to the side gears has protrusions diagonal to the rotational axis thereof and running in opposite directions between the side rollers.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG 1 shows a general view of the device.
FIG 2 shows a side view of the inside of the device.
FIG 3 shows a top view of the device.
FIG 4 shows a front view of the inside of the device. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
A preferred embodiment of the invention is described below based on figures shown.
FIG 1 shows the washing container (1 ) and the grip (2) together with the crank (3) for actuating the manual process of washing. The gear mechanism (6) with the system of rollers (5) and the direction of insertion (4) of the fabric in the container is also shown.
FIG 2 shows the central gear (7) with the corresponding rotational shaft (8) thereof and a smaller side gear (9) with the corresponding rotational shaft (10) thereof and the connector elements (1 1 ) along with the direction of insertion (4) of the fabric.
FIG 3 shows the top view of the central roller (12) with the protrusions thereof perpendicular to the rotational axis, next to a side roller (13) with diagonal protrusions together with the gear mechanism (6).
FIG 4 shows the top view of the central roller (12) with the grooves thereof perpendicular to the rotational axis, next to two side rollers (13 and 14) with opposite diagonal protrusions together with the gear mechanism (6).
