Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes consistant : à recevoir, par un dispositif de surveillance primaire, les informations de battement de cœur d'un dispositif de surveillance de veille ; lorsque le dispositif de surveillance primaire tombe en panne, à établir, par le dispositif de surveillance de veille, une sélection par vote majoritaire ; et à sélectionner, par le dispositif de surveillance de veille, le dispositif ayant le plus de votes en tant que nouveau dispositif de surveillance primaire, et à sélectionner, par le dispositif de surveillance de veille, le dispositif ayant le second plus de votes en tant que second dispositif de surveillance primaire. La solution technique fournie par la présente invention présente l'avantage d'un contrôle de sécurité.
