Definitions
- the present invention relates to a high power pulsed light irradiation handpiece, and more particularly, to a high power pulsed light irradiation handpiece capable of treating various skin diseases by periodically generating light of various wavelengths in the form of pulses.
- a laser is a device that destroys pathological tissues such as hemangiomas and pigment spots that make strong light.
- the laser beam is selectively absorbed only by blood vessels or pigments present in the skin and is not absorbed by surrounding normal tissues.
- the laser beam absorbed by the blood vessel or the pigment generates heat, and the heat selectively destroys the blood vessel or the pigment. Theoretically, it has little effect on the upper skin and surrounding normal tissue through which the laser passes, so there are few side effects such as scarring.
- lasers are now widely used in the treatment of skin diseases.
- vascular diseases such as flaming nevus, capillary dilatation, arachnoid hemangioma, and senile hemangioma.
- pigmented skin diseases such as pigmented skin diseases, hemangioma, hemangiofibromas, pigmented birthmarks, epidermal nevus and the like.
- the conventional laser treatment device since the wavelength of the laser beam effective for these diseases is different, and the conventional laser treatment device uses only light of a specific wavelength emitted from a specific medium, it can be used only for a specific disease that has a therapeutic effect on light of that wavelength. Therefore, in order to treat various kinds of skin diseases, a separate laser treatment device was needed for each disease. In addition, when the skin disease is treated using a conventional laser treatment device, there is a problem that a certain portion of the epidermal damage is inevitable, such as accompanied by side effects such as scab and redness after treatment.
- One step further from the wavelength laser therapy device is a high power pulsed light irradiator, i.e. an IPL therapy device.
- IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, which refers to a laser that periodically generates strong wavelengths of light and treats pigmentary diseases such as hot flashes, blemishes, freckles and blemishes or vascular diseases.
- IPL laser therapy can emit light of various wavelengths in the form of strong pulses, which can treat completely separate diseases such as capillary dilation, pigmentation, and enlargement of pores at the same time. There are few side effects.
