Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a Hydrangea macrophylla fermented product as an active ingredient for soothing skin irritation and skin inflammation. According to the present invention, the cosmetic composition containing a Hydrangea macrophylla fermented product as an active ingredient according to the present invention soothes skin irritation and skin inflammation by inhibiting the expression of inflammation-induced cytokines (IL-6, IL-8, and IL-Ιβ), and thus, ultimately, the cosmetic composition can be effectively applied for use in the prevention and alleviation of skin problems, mitigation of flush, prevention and alleviation of dermatitis, and the like.
