Abstract
The utility model relates to the field of hairdressing services and can be used for hair cutting, in particular, for long hair cutting. An attachment comprises a body (1) with longitudinal walls (3, 4), a clamp between them and a plate (2) with a sequentially arranged hair separator 9 and vertical projection (10). The body and the plate are connected with each other with a possibility to be closed/opened. The clamp is designed in the form of a combination of cross bars (5, 6) with a possibility to grasp the hair separator in the closed position, which is made in the form of a number of projections. The surface of the bars facing the plate is corrugated based on the possibility to pass a strand of hair under the clamp in the closed position and then over the vertical projection. The direction of corrugations corresponds to the direction of the separator projections. Such design increases the fixing and separating functions of the attachment, which substantially simplifies the hair end cutting by reducing the number of the hair trimmer passes.
Description
ATTACHMENT FOR CUTTING THE HAIR ENDS
The utility model relates to the field of hairdressing services and can be used for hair cutting, in particular, for long hair cutting.
Traditionally, in case of the split hair ends, a convenient option is to cut the hair ends (by one cut), which saves time and effort, allowing a hair specialist to quickly and accurately trim the hair ends to the desired level. The hair ends are usually cut in a way involving a cut of a certain length of hair prescraped back into a ponytail by a single movement of scissors with additional trimming of the got out hairs with scissors.
To simplify the process of cutting only the ends of long hair with a pronounced form of strands without damaging the hair along its length, an attachment was developed for cutting the ends of long hair described in the RF utility model patent No. 149453, comprising a body, which is adapted to be fastened to the blade unit end of a hair trimmer and has two parallel lateral protruding plates with a clamping shaft fastened therebetween, while a clamping plate with a hair separator is hingedly coupled to the body and in a middle portion has a projection which fits in the space between the body and the clamping shaft, and a release lever is connected to the clamping plate, said release lever rotating on the shaft fastened in the clamping plate and being spring- loaded in the direction of the clamping of the clamping plate to the body, wherein there is a gap between the body and the clamping plate for a strand of hair to pass in a direction from the body toward a hair separator. The known attachment greatly expands the functionality, when cutting the end of each hair, without damaging the adjacent hair.
The task solved by creation of the claimed utility model is to further improve the design of the known attachment, while the technical result achieved by solving such task consists in increasing the fixing and separating functions of the attachment, which substantially simplifies the hair end cutting by reducing the number of the hair trimmer passes.
The determined technical result in the attachment for cutting the hair ends comprising the body with longitudinal walls, the clamp between them and the plate with the sequentially arranged hair separator and vertical projection, while the body and the plate are connected with each other with a possibility to be closed/opened, is achieved by the fact that the clamp is designed in the form of a combination of cross bars with a possibility to grasp the hair separator in the closed position, which is made in the form of a number of projections, while the surface of the bars facing the plate is corrugated based on the possibility to pass a strand of hair under the clamp in the closed position
and then over the vertical projection, and the direction of corrugations corresponds to the direction of the separator projections.
Preferably, but not necessarily, the body and the plate are hingedly coupled, while the body may be spring-loaded with regard to the plate.
The claimed attachment is illustrated by overall views in the closed (Figs. 1a and 1 b in the fore and back views, respectively) and open (Figs. 2a and 2b in the fore and back views, respectively) positions.
In the overall view the claimed attachment for cutting the hair ends is configured to be fastened on the blade unit end of the hair trimmer and consists of the body 1 and the plate 2 hingedly coupled to each other with a possibility to be opened/closed in the operating position. It should be noted that the term "closed" is used in this application within the meaning of "to cover", i.e. the body is located over the plate in the operating position - see Figs. 1 a and 1 b. The body may be spring-loaded with respect to the plate (not shown in the drawings) for ease of application, while the released state of the spring corresponds to the open position of the body with respect to the plate - see Figs. 2a and 2b. The hinge coupling elements of the body and the plate are located on one of the side faces of the said elements.
In the overall view the body consists of two parallel walls 3 and 4, between which the transverse clamp in the form of two parallel bars 5 and 6 is located in the front part of the attachment. The functional need of the clamp will be described in detail later. The body also includes a cover 7 with a vertical transverse wall 8 optionally serving as an additional clamp.
The plate is substantially made in the form of a platform, on which the hair separator 9 is formed in the form of a number of projections arranged in a transverse row like a comb, the vertical projection 10 and additional hair separator 1 1. The separators 9 and 1 1 are located in the front and back parts of the attachment, respectively. In the closed position the separator 9 is substantially enclosed by the clamp bars 5 and 6 and the body walls, the vertical projection 10 is located between the bar 6 and the transverse wall 8, and the separator 1 1 (if any) - with a small gap under the cover 7. In view of such collocation of the cover and plate elements, corrugated design of the surfaces of the bars facing the plate is substantial. The direction of said corrugations corresponds to the direction of projections of the separators 9 and 1 1 (if the latter is available). In addition, similar corrugations may also be made on the edge of the wall 8 facing the plate.
The operating principle of the attachment provides that it is initially located on the blade unit of the hair trimmer, while the cutting edge of the blade unit is positioned in close proximity to the edge of the vertical projection 10, above the cover 7. In the opened position the hair specialist distributes a strand of hair on the plate, including over the vertical projection 10, and lowers (closes) the body, keeping the attachment in the closed position, while the combination of projections of the hair separator 9 and corrugations on the bars 5 and 6 substantially allows careful distribution of hair in combination with its reliable fixation during haircutting. The hair specialist is able to control the gap width between the bars and the plate surface by the pressure force of the fingers based on the hair density. After the hair trimmer is turned on, the strand is stretched between the body and the plate enveloping the vertical projection. The hair structurally has a different length and, as soon as the hair end is released by the clamp, it tries to restore its linear form influenced by its own elasticity, slips out of the attachment and gets into the blade unit operation area. The blade unit cuts the end. The cut length may be adjusted depending on the distance between the clamp and the vertical projection, above the edge of which the blade unit of the hair trimmer is located.
