Detailed description of preferred embodiments of the invention
With reference to Figure 1 , the numeral 1 denotes a system for tracing one or more persons following an alarm event.
The system 1 comprises a central operations unit 2 and a surveillance system 3 for a public and/or private room or property 20 connected to the central operations unit 2.
The surveillance system 3 is configured to send an alarm signal 15 to the central operations unit 2 associated with an alarm event of the surveillance system 3.
The term "alarm event" means the response of the surveillance system 3 to an intrusion or violation by one or more persons in the room or property 20 under surveillance.
Or, the alarm event is determined by the voluntary activation of the surveillance system 3 by a physical person to signal to the central operations unit 2 a dangerous situation in the room or property 20 under surveillance. The system 1 comprises one or more drones 4 comprising respective control units 10 configured to receive from the central operations unit 2 an activation signal 2a following receipt of the alarm signal 15.
The activation of the drone 4 by the central operations unit 2 is a consequence of the alarm event of the surveillance system 3, optionally after confirmation by an operator operating in the central operations unit 2. The control unit 10 of the drone 4 is connected to the central operations unit 2 by transmission through the air.
The control unit 10 of the drone 4 is configured to control the drone 4 towards the room or property 20 placed under surveillance.
More specifically, the central operations unit 2 is designed for sending to the control unit 10 of the drone 4 a localisation signal 5 of the room or property 20 under surveillance to which is associated the alarm signal 15.
The control unit 10 of the drone 4 is configured to receive the localisation signal 5 and to control the drone 4 in flight until reaching the room or property 20 under surveillance located using the localisation signal 5.
According to a first operating mode, the drone 4 is controlled by the control unit 10 autonomously.
For this purpose, the control unit 10 of the drone 4 interfaces with a GPS system and/or other flight systems.
According to a second operating mode, the control unit 10 of the drone 4 comprises a control system 9 connected to the central operations unit 2 by which the operator can control the drone 4 remotely.
According to this invention, once the drone 4 has reached the room or property 20 placed under surveillance, located using the localisation signal
5, the control unit 10 of the drone 4 is configured to trace the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 of the surveillance system 3. The term "one or more persons" associated with the alarm signal 15 means the subjects who have intruded or have performed a violation in the room or property 20 monitored or the subjects whose actions have induced the voluntary activation of the surveillance system 3 by a physical person. In other words, one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 are malicious or criminal.
Alternatively, an operator from the central operations unit 2 can control the drone 4 through the control system 9.
If the drone 4 inspects in flight the room or property 20 under surveillance, the control unit 10 of the drone 4 is configured to trace the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15.
For this purpose, the drone 4 comprises at least one device 17 for detecting data 7.
The drone 4 comprises an electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 derived from the detection device 17.
The electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 is configured to be connected with the central operations unit 2 and to send to the central operations unit 2 the data 7 acquired by the detection device 17.
The central operations unit 2 is equipped with viewing means 8 for making available to an operator the data 7 detected by the detection device 17. The device 17 for detecting data 7 of the drone 4 comprises at least one electronic device 6 for capturing images 7, in particular in the visible and/or infrared spectrum.
These images 7 can, for example, be viewed by the operator using the viewing means 8 during the movements in flight of the drone 4.
The detection device 17 may comprise a sensor for detecting the temperature for tracing the presence of one or more persons and/or a microphone for detecting voices and/or noises and/or a an infrared light sensor to operate in the absence of light and/or a sensor for detecting chemical substances for tracing one or more persons 'marked' by the surveillance system 3, for example by paint or other chemical substances, associated with the electronic device 6 for capturing images 7.
The alarm system 3 comprises at least one device 19 for detecting data 3a of the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 and an electronic unit 21 for processing data 3a derived from detection device 19. The electronic data processing unit 21 is configured to send the data 3a received from the detection device 19 to the central operations unit 2.
The central operations unit 2 is configured to send the data 3a received from the electronic unit 21 for processing data 3a of the alarm system 3 to the electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 of the drone 4.
The central operations unit 2 is configured to make available to the operator the data 3a detected by the detection device 19 of the alarm system 3 using the vision means 8.
For example, the device 19 for detecting data 3a of the alarm system 3 comprises at least one electronic device for capturing images, in particular in the visible and/or infrared spectrum, and/or a sensor for detecting the temperature and/or a microphone for detecting voices and/or noises.
Optionally, the alarm system 3 comprises means 22 for marking one or more persons who activate the alarm system 3 due to violation of the room or property 20 monitored.
The central operations unit 2 is configured to send data 3a, 7b to the electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 of the drone 4.
The data 3a sent from the central operations unit 2 is the data detected by the alarm system 3 and/or the data 7b detected by the operator of the central operations unit 2, for example from data 7b archived or stored in a dedicated memory unit.
The electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 of the drone 4 is configured to compare the data 3a, 7b received from the central operations unit 2 with the data 7 detected by the device 17 for detecting data 7 of the drone 4. For example, the electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 of the drone 4 is configured for comparing the images 3a, 7b received from the central operations unit 2 representing one or more subjects corresponding to the persons to be traced with the images 7 of subjects detected by the electronic device 6 for capturing images.
These images 3a, 7b received from the central operations unit 2 may be images 3a detected by the detection device 19 of the alarm system 3 or images 7b detected by the operator of the central operations unit 2, for example from data 7b archived or stored in a dedicated memory unit.
The electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 of the drone 4 is designed to send a signal 1 1 confirming the tracing of at least one person associated with the alarm signal 15 to the control unit 10, if there is a correspondence between the data 3a, 7b received from the central operations unit 2 and the data 7 detected by the detection device 17.
Alternatively, the electronic unit 12 for processing data 7 of the drone 4 is designed to send a signal 1 1 confirming the tracing of at least one person associated with the alarm signal 15 to the control unit 10 by processing the data 7 detected by the detection device 17.
Alternatively, the control unit 10 is configured to receive from the central operations unit 2 a signal confirming 1 1 the tracing of one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 by confirmation by an operator, for example by viewing images 7 filmed by the drone 4 or by viewing images 3a filmed by the detection device 19 of the alarm system 3 by the operator from the central operations unit 2.
For example, the operator can confirm to the drone 4 the tracing of one or more persons by viewing in real time images 7 filmed by the drone 4 and/or the comparing images 7b supplied by the central operations unit 2, for example stored in a memory unit dedicated, or the images 3a detected by detection device 19 of the alarm system 3.
According to this invention, the central operations unit 2 is configured for sending to the control unit 10 of the drone 4 a signal 18 for interrupting the following by the drone 4 of the person traced.
More specifically, the signal 18 for interrupting the following is sent after confirmation by an operator operating in the central operations unit 2.
The control unit 10 of the drone 4 is configured to control the drone 4 in the following of at least one person traced during its movements, until receiving the interruption signal 18.
The control unit 10 of the drone 4 is configured to control the drone 4 autonomously during the following of the person traced.
Alternatively, an operator from the central operations unit 2 can control the drone 4 through the control system 9, in particular viewing the images 7 supplied in real time by the drone 4.
To facilitate the viewing during the night-time or without lighting, the drone 4 comprises an emitter of at least one light beam 14.
This invention also relates to a method for tracing one or more persons following an alarm event.
The method comprises a step of sending to a central operations unit 2 an alarm signal 15 associated with an alarm event of a surveillance system 3. This step is performed after an intrusion or violation by one or more persons in the room or property 20 under surveillance or following a request by a physical person to signal to the central operations unit 2 a dangerous situation in the room or property 20 under surveillance.
A step of activating one or more drones 4 by the central operations unit 2 after reception of the alarm signal 15.
According to the method, the central operations unit 2 sends to the control unit 10 of the drone 4 a localisation signal 5 of the room or property 20 under surveillance to which is associated the alarm event and the drone 4, after receiving the localisation signal 5, takes flight in the room or property 20 under surveillance corresponding to the localisation signal 5.
More specifically, the drone 4 takes flight in the room or property 20 under surveillance corresponding to the localisation signal 5 in an autonomous mode or controlled remotely from the central operations unit 2.
Once the drone 4 is located in the room or property 20 under surveillance, the method comprises a step of tracing the one or more persons associated with the alarm event with the aid of the drone 4.
Alternatively, an operator from the central operations unit 2 can control the drone 4 remotely in order to inspect the room or property 20 under surveillance.
According to this operating mode, the operator controls the drone 4 by viewing the images 7 which the drone 4 acquires during the respective movements.
The step of tracing the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 comprises a step of detecting and processing data 7 acquired by the drone 4, in particular using the device 17 for detecting data 7.
The step of tracing the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 comprises a step of comparing the data 7 acquired by the drone 4, in particular using the device 17 for detecting data 7, with the data 3a, 7b supplied by the central operations unit 2, in particular detected by the device 19 for detecting data 3a of the alarm system 3 and/or archived or stored in a dedicated memory unit of the central operations unit 2.
The step of tracing the one or more persons associated with the event comprises a step of confirming the tracing of the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15, if there is a correspondence between the data 3a, 7b supplied by the central operations unit 2 and the data 7 detected by the drone 4.
Alternatively, the step of tracing the one or more persons associated with the event comprises a step of confirming the tracing of the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15 by confirmation by an operator from the central operations unit 2, for example by viewing images 7 filmed by the drone 4 or by viewing images 3a filmed by the detection device 19 of the alarm system 3 by the operator from the central operations unit 2.
Having confirmed the one or more persons associated with the alarm signal 15, the method comprises a step of following in flight the person traced in the respective movements by the drone 4, until the central operations unit 2 sends to the drone 4 a signal 18 interrupting the following by the drone 4 of the person traced, preferably after confirmation by an operator operating in the central operations unit 2.
