Abstract

La présente invention décrit un protocole chirurgical en deux stades destiné à la mise en place d'un implant dentaire. Habituellement, le premier stade est l'extraction de la dent. Plusieurs mois sont nécessaires pour permettre la nouvelle croissance osseuse afin de guérir la cavité dentaire extraite. Le second stade s'effectue lorsqu'un trou est foré dans l'os et que l'implant est vissé. La procédure dans son ensemble est chronophage, coûteuse, nécessite une grande capacité technique, et est effectuée lors plusieurs rendez-vous chez le dentiste, ce qui rend difficile l'expérience du patient. Pour atténuer un ou plusieurs de ces problèmes, un dispositif de mise en place immédiate d'un appareil d'implant dans une alvéole dentaire nouvellement extraite est décrit. Le dispositif comprend un guide présentant un renfoncement et un montant. Le montant est adapté pour engager une mâchoire de patient afin de positionner le guide par rapport à l'alvéole dentaire du patient afin d'aligner le renfoncement sur l'alvéole dentaire. Un dispositif de remise en forme comprenant une extrémité de découpe est réceptionné de manière rotative dans le renfoncement pour positionner le dispositif de remise en forme par rapport à l'alvéole dentaire. Le dispositif de remise en forme est tourné pour couper et remettre en forme l'alvéole dentaire afin de recevoir un appareil d'implant.
