Abstract

The subject of the invention is a modular furniture system which comprises standardized elements. The elements enable simple building of various furniture assemblies, i.e. assembly of a certain piece of furniture, its disassembly, and subsequent assembly of another piece of furniture. The system presented in this invention is suitable for spatial assemblies at a variety of angles, 0° or 90°. The system includes structural members (1) provided with holes (2), fastening members, and connectors (18, 21). Several variants of fastening members are available. The primary fastening member (4) comprises an insert (5) and an expansion element (10). The insert (5) comprises a sleeve (7) and optionally a lip (8). The insert (5) can additionally include a superimposed element (6). The expansion element (10) comprises a plug (11) and the first pull element (12), wherein the first pull element (12) is configured to interlock with the second pull element (13), the latter not part of the primary fastening member (4), said elements forming a pull assembly. The first pull element (12) and the second pull element (13) are configured to complement one another and that upon assembly or coupling they form a pull assembly that during assembly enables the pulling of the plug (11) into the sleeve (7) of the insert (5), fixing it in place until disassembly. Connectors comprise: coplanar connecting elements (18) that connect structural elements (1) to one another in one plane; and angular connectors (21) that connect structural elements (1) to one another in at least two planes.
