Abstract

La présente invention concerne un ensemble rétroviseur latéral de véhicule qui comprend une unité d'éclairage, ledit ensemble rétroviseur latéral comportant une ouverture, un boîtier de miroir ayant une partie fenêtre, une unité de miroir positionnée sur l'ouverture et une unité d'éclairage. L'unité d'éclairage comprend un couvercle qui recouvre la partie fenêtre, une source de lumière agencée dans le boîtier de miroir à un emplacement plus proche du côté avant du véhicule que l'unité de miroir et une unité de distribution de lumière. Selon la présente invention, une unité d'éclairage (4) comporte un couvercle (9) recouvrant une partie fenêtre (7), et au moins une source de lumière (10) qui est positionnée dans un boîtier (6) d'un miroir (1) à un emplacement plus proche d'un côté avant d'un véhicule (3) qu'une unité de miroir (8) et qui fait sensiblement face au sol et, respectivement, à la surface de conduite du véhicule (3).
