- the third direction 19 is a direction substantially horizontal and, if provided for, orthogonal to the advancement direction of the conveyor belt 2. - the moveable side wall group comprises at least one rod-like element or stem 21 ' connected at a first end to the second drive means 21 and at the opposite end to the second moveable element 18.
- the at least one rod-like element or stem 21 ' diverges through the first moveable element 17 and outside the frame 6 through respective openings. It should be observed that the first moveable element 17 has at least one through slot 17' to enable the passage of the at least one rod-like element or stem 21 ' through the first moveable element 17.
- the at least one through slot 17' is aligned along a horizontal direction, parallel to the third direction 19.

- the second actuation means 13 displace the at least one side wall 7 approaching/moving away with respect to the material 9 to be pressed, narrowing/widening at least one side of the pressing cavity in which the powder material 9 is placed.
- the first actuation means 12 and/or the second actuation means 13 may be of the electric type.
- the drive means 15, 21 comprised in the first actuation means 12 and/or in the second actuation means 13 are of the electrically powered type, such as electric motors.
- the displacement of the frame 6 along the first direction 1 1 and the displacement of the at least one side wall 7 along the second direction 14 can be controlled in a highly accurate manner. Furthermore, the electric actuations enable holding the frame 6 and/or the at least one side wall 7 in position during the various pressing steps as long as they are able to counter the stresses to which they are subjected.
- first actuation means 12 and/or the second actuation means 13 can be of the hydraulic actuation type and thus comprise hydraulic or oil hydraulic cylinder-piston assemblies or the like.
- a ceramic products pressing machine comprising at least one moveable side wall group 1 of the previously described type also forms an object of the present invention.
- the moveable side wall group 1 may be associated to at least one side of a pressing element or punch 2.
- a ceramic products press may comprise a first moveable side wall group 1 associated to the front side of the pressing element or outlet side 5 and/or a moveable side wall group 1 associated to the inlet side 4 of the pressing cavity.
- a press for ceramic products may comprise four moveable side wall groups 1 , each associated to a respective side of the pressing element 2.
- the moveable side wall group 1 enable holding, according to a predefined configuration, the powder ceramic material 9 to be pressed in position, with the aim of enabling to obtain a finished product P, such as a tile, a slab or the like, with high finishing even at the perimeter edge portions.
- transmission means 16 guarantees the alignment of the at least one side wall 7 during the displacement thereof along the second direction 14, thus facilitating optimal pressing conditions.
- the pressed product thus obtained does not require further mechanical machining suitable to eliminate waste material or part of the perimeter portion of the obtained tile or slab, as it instead occurs in conventional pressing machines for pressing powder material.
- the press 1 enables directly obtaining - during the pressing step alone - finished products such as tiles or slabs or the like, even of the large dimensioned type, characterised by high structural homogeneity and high finishing in particular as concerns the perimeter portion, and thus such not to require further machining to remove material and thus without generating by-products or waste material.
- the powder ceramic material to be pressed may comprise at least one first powder ceramic material or a plurality of powder ceramic material with different characteristics with respect to each other.
- the ceramic material 9 to be pressed could be mixed with at least one or more substances as a function of specific production needs, such as binders, decoration material, etcetera, without any limitation to the objects of the present invention.
- a press for ceramic products comprising a conveyor belt 2 on which the powder material 9 to be pressed is placed and at least one pressing element 3, arranged above the conveyor belt 2, to which at least one moveable side wall group 1 according to the present invention is associated.
- the powder material 9 to be pressed is deposited on a conveyor belt 2, which advances it along the advancement direction introducing it into the operating chamber of the press through the inlet side 4 (see figure 5).
- the moveable side wall group 1 is arranged in an inoperative position i.e. retracted at the upper part so as not to hinder the passage of the material to be pressed 9.
- the first actuation means 12 that determine the displacement of the frame 6, and thus the at least one side wall 7, downwards along the first direction 11 up to placing the at least one side wall 7 in abutment against the conveyor belt 2 (see figure 6), are actuated subsequently.
- a frontally sealing barrier is obtained with respect to the material to be pressed, so as to prevent the same from exiting from the operating chamber.
- the second actuation means 13 and, more specifically, the first drive means 15, are actuated to displace the at least one side wall 7 along the second direction 14, approaching the material 9 to be pressed.
- the first drive means 15 determine the displacement of the first moveable element 17 along the third direction 19 and, thus, the displacement of the second moveable element 18, to which the at least one side wall 7 is connected, along the second direction 14.
- the at least one side wall 7 During displacement along the second direction 14, the at least one side wall 7 abuts against the material 9 to be pressed, that may have crumbled on the conveyor belt 2, collecting and taking it in a predefined pressing configuration.
- the actuation of the at least one side wall 7 along the second direction 14 continues until it reaches a pre-established position in proximity of the pressing element 3 (see figure 7).
- the actuation of the first drive means 15, determining the displacement of the at least one side wall 7, causes the actuation of the second drive means 21 which are maintained idle during this step.
- the pressing element 3 is lowered thus determining the step for pressing the material 9 (see figure 8).
- the first actuation means 12 are partly released to enable the relative displacement between the pressing element 3 and the frame 6, thus preventing the at least one side wall 7 from hindering the descent of the pressing element 3 against the material 9 to be pressed.
- the first actuation means 12 determine a thrust action of the at least one side wall 7 against the surface on which the material 9 to be pressed lies so as to guarantee the hermetic sealing of the at least one side wall 7, described beforehand.
- the second drive means 21 are actuated returning the at least one side wall 7 towards the frame 6, with the aim of facilitating the natural step of expansion of the pressed material P at the edge portion thereof previously held by the moveable side wall group 1 (see figure 9).
- the first drive means 15 are deactivated or maintained idle so as to enable the return of the at least one side wall 7 towards the frame 6.
- such displacement prevents the at least one side wall 7 from interfering, sliding or impacting against the edge of the pressed material and thus damaging it, with particular reference to possible impacts against the upper portion of the edge of the pressed element P.
- the at least one side wall 7 is moved along the second direction 14, approaching the frame 6 and, subsequently actuating the first actuation means 12 to displace the at least one side wall 7 along the first direction 11 upwards up to completely vacating the space along the outlet side 5 so as to enable the release of the pressed product P (see figure 10).
- the conveyor belt 2 is actuated thus advancing the pressed product P beyond the outlet side 5 of the pressing element 3 and, simultaneously, loading the new material to be pressed.
- the moveable side wall group 1 enables obtaining finished products, such as tiles, slabs or the like, even large in size, having, in particular, at least one side of the perimeter portion compact and linear.
- the finished ceramic products thus obtained do not require further machining to remove any surplus material at the perimeter portion thereof, thus avoiding generation of by-products or waste material.
- the obtained ceramic products have a structural homogeneity that advantageously translates into a uniform resistance against the mechanical stresses they are subjected to in use.
