Abstract
Description
以下、図1~図9を参照しながら実施の形態1における映像表示装置1について説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、図面にX軸、Y軸、Z軸の3軸を示し、表示パネルの長辺に平行な方向の軸をX軸、表示パネルの短辺に平行な方向の軸をY軸、X軸Y軸の双方に直交する軸をZ軸とする。しかし、これらの軸は便宜的に示したものに過ぎず、何ら本開示を限定するものではない。
実施の形態1における映像表示装置1は、液晶の表示パネルと、その表示パネルを背面から照明するための光源基板と、を備える。映像表示装置1は、映像表示装置の一例である。光源基板には、各々が表示パネルの互いに異なる領域に対応して設けられた複数の発光素子と、複数の発光素子の各々を、制御信号によって表される明るさ(映像の対応領域内の明るさ)に応じた輝度で発光するように駆動(調光)するドライバ素子と、が搭載される。なお、映像の対応領域内の明るさとは、1つの発光素子(または、一箇所に配置された発光素子)が照明する表示パネルの領域(すなわち、その発光素子に対応する領域)における映像の明るさ(映像の部分的な明るさ)のことである。
以上のように、本実施の形態において、映像表示装置は、映像信号に基づいて映像を表示する表示パネルと、表示パネルの背面側に配置される光源基板と、光源基板の表示パネル側の面に取り付けられ、表示パネルに光を照射する複数の発光素子と、反射シートと、複数の発光素子の各々を駆動するドライバ素子と、を備える。反射シートは、互いに隣り合う発光素子の間を仕切り表示パネルに向かって膨出する隔壁部が形成され、光源基板の表示パネル側の面を発光素子を避けて覆う。ドライバ素子は、隔壁部により囲まれる光源基板の表示パネル側の面に取り付けられる。
次に、図10および図11を参照しながら、実施の形態2について説明する。
実施の形態2には、他の基板との電気的な接続をケーブルを介して行う構成を光源基板20に設けた映像表示装置1を開示する。実施の形態2では、実施の形態1の映像表示装置1の構成に加えて、適切なコネクタを選択してケーブルを接続できる構成を光源基板20が備えている。
以上のように、本実施の形態において、映像表示装置は、複数の光源基板を備えてもよい。複数の光源基板は、第一方向に沿って配列され、かつ第一方向に直交する第二方向に沿って配列されてもよい。
以上のように、本出願において開示する技術の例示として、実施の形態1および2を説明した。そのために、添付図面および詳細な説明を提供した。

Claims (4)
- 映像信号に基づいて映像を表示する表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルの背面側に配置される光源基板と、
前記光源基板の前記表示パネル側の面に取り付けられ、前記表示パネルに光を照射する複数の発光素子と、
互いに隣り合う前記発光素子の間を仕切り前記表示パネルに向かって膨出する隔壁部が形成され、前記光源基板の前記表示パネル側の面を前記発光素子を避けて覆う反射シートと、
前記隔壁部により囲まれる前記光源基板の前記表示パネル側の面に取り付けられ、複数の前記発光素子の各々を駆動するドライバ素子と、を備える、
