  • the new safety device for nasal irrigation comprising at least one irrigation nozzle suited to be at least partially inserted in the nasal cavity of the user, said nozzle in turn comprising a duct open at both ends, with one end suited to let the liquid in and to be directly or indirectly connected to at least one syringe or another device suited to dispense said liquid, and one opposite end suited to let out the jet of liquid.
  • Said nozzle preferably comprises also at least one substantially conical external portion suited to be at least partially inserted in the nasal cavity and provided with a hole on its top for letting the liquid out.
  • At least said external portion is preferably made of a soft material, for example silicone and/or PVC and/or other polymeric materials with suitable characteristics, in order to make the contact with the nasal cavities more comfortable.
  • the new device comprises also at least one safety element suited to connect said irrigation nozzle to the outlet duct of a syringe or another device suited to dispense the nasal irrigation liquid and having the function of reducing the flow rate and the pressure of the liquid jet in order to further increase the comfort and ease of use of the new device.
  • Said safety element in turn comprises a first tubular portion suited to be directly or indirectly connected to the outlet duct of a syringe or another liquid dispensing device, a second tubular portion, preferably and substantially coaxial with said first tubular portion and suitable for the insertion of said duct of said irrigation nozzle, and one or more jet breaking means positioned between said first tubular portion and said second tubular portion, said jet breaking means being suited to reduce the flow rate and the pressure of the jet emitted through said syringe or other device.
  • said jet breaking means comprise a first partition arranged crosswise between said first tubular portion and said second tubular portion and provided with one or more holes for the passage of the liquid, and one or more partitions or projections raised with respect to said transverse partition and arranged longitudinally inside said second tubular portion.
  • said jet breaking means comprise an elongated projection constituted by partitions arranged as a dial, whose end is preferably tapered and projects from said second tubular portion.
  • Said projection has also the function of correctly conveying the jet towards said open outlet end of said irrigation nozzle.

  • Said external conical portion (24) is suited to be inserted in the nasal cavity of the user and is provided with a through hole (25) at its top, said hole (25) being suited to let out the liquid to be injected in the nasal cavities.
  • At least said conical portion (24) is preferably completely or partially made of a soft and comfortable material, for example PVC, silicone or another polymeric material suitable for contact with the inside of the nasal cavities.
  • Said device (D) comprises also at least one safety element (1) suited to connect said irrigation nozzle (2) to the outlet duct (31) of a syringe (3) or another device for dispensing liquid for nasal irrigation.
  • Said safety element (1) in turn comprises a first tubular portion (1 1) with one open end (16) suitable for connection to said outlet duct (31) of said syringe (3), said first tubular portion (1 1) being in particular suited to be fitted on said outlet duct (31) itself.
  • Said safety element (1) comprises a second tubular portion (13) which is preferably and substantially coaxial with said first tubular portion (11) and has one open end (17) suited to be connected to said irrigation nozzle (2) and in particular to allow the introduction of said duct (21) of said irrigation nozzle (2).
  • jet breaking means (12, 14) suited to reduce the flow rate and the pressure of the jet emitted through said syringe (3) or other device.
  • said safety element (1) must be fitted on said outlet duct (31) of said syringe (3) and said irrigation nozzle (2) must be inserted in said second tubular portion (13) of said safety element (1).
  • the jet breaking means (12, 14) comprise a first partition (12) arranged crosswise between said first tubular portion and said second tubular portion (1 1, 13), provided with one or more holes (15) for the passage of the liquid, as well as an elongated projection (14) raised with respect to said transverse partition (12) and arranged longitudinally inside said second tubular portion (13).
  • Said elongated projection (14) is in turn preferably constituted by partitions (141), for example three or more than three partitions, arranged as a dial and has a preferably tapered end (142) that projects from said second tubular portion (13) and is suited to be inserted in said duct (21) of said irrigation nozzle (2).
  • Said elongated projection (14), therefore, has also the function of conveying the jet correctly towards said outlet hole (25) of said irrigation nozzle (2).
  • said safety element (1) comprises, for example between said first and said second tubular portion (11, 13) and at the level of said transverse partition (12), at least one flat element (121) projecting laterally and suited to be held by the user.

Abstract

L'invention est un dispositif de sécurité (D) d'irrigation nasale ayant un liquide approprié contenu dans une seringue (3) ou un autre dispositif de distribution, comprenant une buse d'irrigation (2) appropriée pour être au moins partiellement insérée dans la cavité nasale de l'utilisateur et comprenant à son tour un conduit (21) ouvert aux deux extrémités (22, 23) et une partie externe (24) d'un seul tenant avec ledit conduit (21) et appropriée pour être au moins partiellement insérée dans la cavité nasale de l'utilisateur.
