Abstract
A casing of a tube heat exchanger which, on the top, closes a wall of a combustion chamber placed inside a jacked fitted with openings to accommodate a stub pipes for the supply and discharge of the heated liquid, characterised in that it features two welds or fewer, where the wall (1) of the combustion chamber is shaped to form a container open on the top with its bottom formed to make an upper sieve bottom (2), the container encased in the jacket (4), where the jacket (4) is bound on the top with a weld (3) to the top section of the combustion chamber wall (1).
Description
Tube heat exchanger casing
The invention concerns the casing of a tube heat exchanger.
In known tube heat exchangers, there are many welds on the casings in places where individual casing fragments made as separate elements are bound together.
The corrosion resistance and fatigue strength of the welds are far lower than those demonstrated by the material of which the heat exchanger casing is made.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the corrosion resistance and fatigue strength of the casing of a heat exchanger.
The purpose was achieved by reducing the number of elements bound together with welds, which are most exposed to the potential development of corrosion spots and concentration of mechanical stress.
A casing of a tube heat exchanger which, on the top, closes a wall of a combustion chamber placed inside a jacked fitted with openings to accommodate a stub pipes for the supply and discharge of the heated liquid according to the invention is characterised in that it features two welds or fewer, where the wall of the combustion chamber is shaped to form a container open on the top with its bottom formed to make an upper sieve bottom, the container encased in the jacket, where the jacket is welded on the top to the top section of the combustion chamber wall. Preferably, there is only one weld in the casing, where the jacket is given the shape of the container open on the top with its bottom formed to make a lower sieve bottom.
In another embodiment of the invention, the casing features two welds. Here, the bottom of the jacket is welded to the lower sieve bottom.
The structure of the casing according to the invention improves its
durability substantially.
Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings:
Fig. 1 shows the casing in isometric projection without the welds in view,
Fig. 2 - the casing with a single weld, in axial section;
Fig. 3 - the casing with two welds, in axial section;
Fig.4 - the casing in a bird's eye view, without the welds visible.
In the first exemplary embodiment of the invention featuring a single weld, as shown on Fig. 2, a casing of the tube heat exchanger joins together, in its top section, a wall 1 of a combustion chamber and a jacket 4 which encases the wall 1 of the combustion chamber with flame pipes fitted under the combustion chamber (not shown on the drawing), where the combustion chamber is shaped to form a container open on the top, with its bottom formed to make the upper sieve bottom 2. Jacket 4, too, is shaped into a container open on the top with the bottom formed to make the lower sieve bottom 5. The wall 1 of the combustion chamber is placed inside the jacket 4, where the wall 1 of the combustion chamber is bound at the top to the top section of jacket 2 with a weld 3. At the bottom of the side wall of jacket 4 there is an opening 7 to accommodate the stub pipe for the supply of the heated liquid, and at its top there is an opening 8 to accommodate the stub pipe for the discharge of the heated liquid.
In the second exemplary embodiment of the invention with two welds, as shown on Fig. 3, the casing of the tube heat exchanger joins on the top the wall 1 of the combustion chamber with jacket 4 which encases wall 1 of the combustion chamber and the flame pipes fitted under the
combustion chamber (not shown on the drawing), where the combustion chamber is given the shape of a container open on the top, with its bottom formed to make the upper sieve bottom 2. The wall 1 of the combustion chamber is placed inside the jacket 4. On the top, the jacket 4 is bound with weld 3 to the top section of the combustion chamber 1, and at the bottom it is bound with weld 6 to the lower sieve bottom 5. At the bottom of the side wall of jacket 4 there is an opening 7 to accommodate the stub pipe for the supply of the heated liquid, and at its top there is an opening 8 to accommodate the stub pipe for the discharge of the heated liquid.
