Un aspect à titre d'exemple de la présente invention concerne un système permettant d'actionner un couvercle de siège de toilette (5), le système comprenant un couvercle de siège de toilette (5) comprenant un premier aimant (7), un système de guidage (9) conçu pour être disposé dans un réservoir (3) d'une structure de siège de toilette (1), un corps flottant (10) comprenant un second aimant (11), le corps flottant (10) étant relié de manière mobile au système de guidage (9), et le premier aimant (7) et le second aimant (11) étant configurés pour provoquer un mouvement du couvercle de siège de toilette (5) lors de l'abaissement d'un niveau de liquide (13) dans le réservoir (3) de la structure de siège de toilette (1).
