Abstract

An assembly of an interlocking handle and structure for bags and totes is designed for use in bags and totes for household or commercial use for packaging and carrying objects. The assembly has a structure that allows interlocking, as a result of its palindromic shape, with identical and matching interlocking shapes that keep the bag or tote in the closed position, and consists of a double handle, which can be produced industrially or manually and can be stamped as a single double part. This part has mirror symmetry, or is palindromic and collapsible, besides being detachable at the top, making it possible to produce a single part in two pieces which can be folded and become more robust and withstand certain uses. The assembly contains two pieces that form a single part but are separately manufactured as units made of cardboard or kraft paper with a resistance to traction and weight that is suitable for the intended use and have an anatomic and ergonomic shape that increases its resistance and user comfort, besides making it easier for the assembly of interlocking handle and structure for bags and totes to be industrially or manually applied to the bag or tote to which the assembly is to be added or with which it is to be manufactured. The assembly of interlocking handle and structure for bags and totes incorporates limiting stamped elements which act as guides for glueing the assembly to paper bags or totes. The closures stamped in the assembly allows the bag to be closed and its contents to be isolated. The application method is made easier and the productivity of the method for attaching the handles is increased, providing economies of scale, comfort and security, since the paper bags are provided with more resistant handles that can be locked together.
