- the containers 10 of the invention are specially adapted for the application of the refrigeration systems usually known as "Californian tunnels".
- the "Californian tunnels" or Rapid Cooling Tunnels fulfill the function of rapidly cooling the merchandise, given its system of greater quantity and air pressure than the rapid cooling chambers. They can be used to cool any type of merchandise, whether fresh or frozen. They have a double bottom where electro fans of greater power and capacity than those of evaporators are placed. These electro fans raise the pressure of the circulating air so that it can "pass” through the palletized fruit more times per unit of time and therefore the cold air manages to reach the center of the pallet more quickly.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un système d'emballage pour le refroidissement dans un tunnel californien, de stockage et de transport maritime et terrestre réfrigéré, pour l'export agroalimentaire de denrées périssables. Ce système est composé par trois éléments de base pouvant être assemblés et disposés en chaîne : 1 - des conteneurs (10) rigides de matière plastique qui contiennent les denrées. 2 - des cadres support (41) pour empiler par superposition les conteneurs une fois remplis par les denrées périssables. Sans lesdits cadres support (41) les conteneurs (10) s'empilent parfaitement par emboîtement les uns avec les autres et occupent un espace très réduit avec les avantages de stockage et de transport. 3 - des éléments d'ancrage-diffuseur (51) qui contribuent d'une part à solidariser les conteneurs (10) à mesure qu'ils s'empilent par superposition avec les produits et à donner à une uniformité à l'ensemble, et d'autre part à diffuser de l'air dans le système pour permettre un refroidissement plus rapide nécessaire pour la conservation des produits.
