本発明において成分(A)のコハク酸又はその塩は、成分(B)のエリスリトールとの組合せによって、化学処理又は熱処理による損傷と、洗髪、ブラッシング等の日々のヘアケア行動の繰り返しが組み合わさることによる毛髪繊維の形状変化を抑制する効果を奏する。
本発明において成分(B)のエリスリトールは、成分(A)のコハク酸又はその塩との組合せによって、化学処理又は熱処理による損傷と、洗髪、ブラッシング等の日々のヘアケア行動の繰り返しが組み合わさることによる毛髪繊維の形状変化を抑制する効果を奏する。
成分(C)の芳香族アルコールは、ベンジルアルコール、フェノキシエタノール、ベンジルオキシエタノールから選ばれる少なくとも1種である。これらの芳香族アルコールは、後述する成分(D)との組み合わせによって、成分(A)と成分(B)を効率的に毛髪に浸透させる効果を有する。
成分(D)のアルキレン基の炭素数が2~3である少なくとも1種のポリオキシアルキレングリコールは、前述の成分(C)との組み合わせによって成分(A)及び成分(B)を効率的に毛髪に浸透させる効果を有すると共に、乾燥後の毛髪のパサつきを抑える効果を有する。
本発明の毛髪処理剤は、更に水を含む。水としては、イオン交換水、蒸留水等を用いることができる。毛髪処理剤中における水の含有量は、毛髪処理剤中の水以外の成分を除いた残部とすることができ、また、好ましくは50質量%以上、より好ましくは60質量%以上であり、また、好ましくは98質量%以下、より好ましくは95質量%以下である。
本発明の毛髪処理剤には、更にアニオン界面活性剤を含有させることができる。特に、本発明の毛髪処理剤が毛髪洗浄剤(シャンプー)である場合には、アニオン界面活性剤を含有することが好ましい。アニオン界面活性剤としては、硫酸系、スルホン酸系、カルボン酸系のものが好ましく、例えばアルキル硫酸塩、ポリオキシアルキレンアルキルエーテル硫酸塩、ポリオキシアルキレンアルケニルエーテル硫酸塩、スルホコハク酸アルキルエステル塩、スルホコハク酸アルキレンアルキルフェニルエーテル硫酸塩、アルカンスルホン酸塩、高級脂肪酸塩、アルキルエーテルカルボン酸又はその塩等が挙げられ、なかでもポリオキシアルキレンアルキルエーテル硫酸塩、アルキル硫酸塩が好ましく、更には次の一般式(1)又は(2)で表されるものが好ましい。

本発明の毛髪処理剤には、更に水溶性カチオン性ポリマーを含有させることができる。特に、本発明の毛髪処理剤が毛髪洗浄剤(シャンプー)である場合には、水溶性カチオン性ポリマーを含有することが好ましい。水溶性カチオン性ポリマーは、前記アニオン界面活性剤との組合せによるコアセルベーションを通じて、毛髪表面への成分(A)の付着率を向上させ、高湿度下での浮き毛、跳ね毛の発生を更に抑制することができる。
本発明の毛髪処理剤には、更にカチオン界面活性剤を含有させることができる。特に、本発明の毛髪処理剤がヘアコンディショナー、ヘアトリートメントである場合には、カチオン界面活性剤を含有することが好ましい。カチオン界面活性剤としては、3級アミン誘導体又はその塩、4級アンモニウム塩が挙げられる。
本発明の毛髪処理剤には、更に飽和脂肪族アルコールを含有させることができる。特に、本発明の毛髪処理剤がヘアコンディショナー、ヘアトリートメントである場合には、飽和脂肪族アルコールを含有することが好ましい。飽和脂肪族アルコールとしては、炭素数12~28の飽和脂肪族アルコールが挙げられる。これらのうち、カチオン界面活性剤とゲルを形成し、毛髪に対する吸着の均一性及び毛髪処理剤の安定性を向上させる観点から、炭素数12~22の飽和脂肪族アルコールが好ましい。具体的には、ラウリルアルコール、ミリスチルアルコール、セチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコール、ベヘニルアルコールが挙げられる。
成分(A)のコハク酸を毛髪に高浸透させる観点から、本発明の毛髪処理剤を水で20質量倍に希釈したときの25℃におけるpHは、好ましくは8以下、より好ましくは7以下、更に好ましくは6.5以下、更に好ましくは6.3以下、更に好ましくは6以下、更に好ましくは5.5以下であり、また、好ましくは2以上、より好ましくは2.3以上、更に好ましくは2.5以上である。
本発明の毛髪処理剤の剤型としては、シャンプー(毛髪洗浄剤)のほか、非洗浄剤であるヘアコンディショナー、ヘアトリートメント、ヘアスタイリング剤、ヘアローション、ヘアジェル、プレシャンプー剤が挙げられる。
本発明の毛髪処理剤には、更に、毛髪化粧料に一般に使用されるその他の成分を、目的に応じて配合することができる。例えば、アルキルジメチルアミノ酢酸ベタイン、脂肪酸アミドプロピルベタイン、アルキルヒドロキシスルホベタイン等の両性界面活性剤;パルミチン酸イソプロピル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル、ミリスチン酸オクチルドデシル、ラウリン酸ヘキシル、乳酸セチル、モノステアリン酸プロピレングリコール、オレイン酸オレイル、2-エチルヘキサン酸ヘキサデシル、イソノナン酸イソノニル、イソノナン酸トリデシル等のエステル;ミツロウ、鯨ロウ、ラノリン、カルナウバロウ等のロウ類;エタノール、1-プロパノール、2-プロパノール、ブタノール、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、メチルカルビトール、エチルカルビトール、プロピルカルビトール、ブチルカルビトール、トリエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、トリエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、グリセリン等のアルコール;ジメチルポリシロキサン、アミノ変性シリコーン等のシリコーン;ジンクピリチオン、塩化ベンザルコニウム等の抗フケ剤;ビタミン剤;殺菌剤;抗炎症剤;防腐剤;キレート剤;パンテノール等の保湿剤;染料、顔料等の着色剤;ユーカリの極性溶媒抽出物、真珠層を有する貝殻又は真珠から得られる蛋白質又はその加水分解物、シルクから得られる蛋白質又はその加水分解物、マメ科植物の種子から得られる蛋白含有抽出物、オタネニンジン抽出物、米胚芽抽出物、ヒバマタ抽出物、ツバキ抽出物、アロエ抽出物、月桃葉抽出物、クロレラ抽出物等のエキス類;雲母チタン等のパール粉体;香料;紫外線吸収剤;酸化防止剤;その他エンサイクロペディア・オブ・シャンプー・イングリーディエンツ(ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SHAMPOO INGREDIENTS (MICELLE PRESS))に記載されている成分等が挙げられる。

表1に示す処方に従い各成分を室温で撹拌し、均一溶液として毛髪処理剤を調製した。これらの毛髪処理剤について、以下の評価方法1に従って形状変化抑制率の評価を行った。
日本人未処理毛髪(カール半径が10~20mmである直毛又はウェーブ毛)8本で長さ5cmの毛束を作製した。この毛束に対し、ブリーチ処理(花王社製プリティア泡ブリーチ1剤と2剤を製品の表示に従い混合、室温30分放置、無限浴)を4回施した。
この毛束を下に示す評価用シャンプーで2回洗浄した。次いでこの毛束の8本の毛髪をまとめ、毛先に0.3gのおもり1個を付けて5分間自然乾燥させた。次に、毛束からおもりを外して、各毛髪のカール半径を測定した。8本の毛髪のカール半径の平均値を「処理前のカール半径(mm)」とした。
この毛束を表1に示す毛髪処理剤(実施例1、比較例1及び2)に浸漬させ(無限浴)、40℃で3時間静置した。この後、この毛束を15秒間40℃の水道水ですすぎ、タオルドライした。次いで毛束の8本の毛髪をまとめ、毛先に0.3gのおもり1個を付けて5分間自然乾燥させた。この後、毛束からおもりを外して再度各毛髪のカール半径を測定した。8本の毛髪のカール半径の平均値を「処理後のカール半径(mm)」とした。
なお、ここでのカール半径は、同心円上に半径を1mm単位で変えた種々の大きさの円を描き、各円弧に毛髪を添わせ、最も一致した円弧の半径とした。

表2及び表3に示す処方に従い各成分を室温で撹拌し、均一溶液として毛髪処理剤を調製した。これらの毛髪処理剤について、以下の評価方法2に従って形状変化抑制率の評価を行った。
日本人未処理毛髪(カール半径が10~20mmである直毛又はウェーブ毛)10本で長さ10cmの毛束を作製した。この毛束に対し、ブリーチ処理(花王社製プリティア泡ブリーチ1剤と2剤を製品の表示に従い混合、室温30分放置、無限浴)を4回施した。
この毛束を前述の評価方法1で用いたのと同じ評価用シャンプーで2回洗浄した。次いでこの毛束の10本の毛髪をまとめ、毛先に0.3gのおもり1個を付けて5分間自然乾燥させた。次に、毛束からおもりを外して、各1本の毛髪の毛先から約3cmのカール半径を測定した。これを「処理前のカール半径(mm)」とした。
次に、ブラッシング等の摩擦による毛髪キューティクルの剥離を想定し、毛髪表面を荒らした。具体的には、上記毛束の根元を台にテープで固定し、1本の毛髪を選定し、毛先をピンセットで挟み、固定した。この毛髪を幅5mm、長さ2cmの短冊状に切ったサンドペーパー(メーカー名:日本研紙株式会社 耐水研磨紙シート 品番:RRCC-S 番手(粒度):400)で、毛髪の上から軽く押さえ、毛先から根元方向に3回、3cm以上こすった。この毛束を表2又は表3に示す毛髪処理剤(実施例2~11、比較例3~10)に浸漬させ(無限浴)、40℃で3時間静置した。この後、この毛束を15秒間30℃の水道水ですすぎ、タオルドライした。次いで毛束の10本の毛髪をまとめ、毛先に0.3gのおもり1個を付けて15分間自然乾燥させた。この後、毛束からおもりを外して再度各毛髪のカール半径を測定した。測定部位は、上記同様毛先から約3cmである。これを「処理後のカール半径」とした。測定には、10本の毛髪から異常のないものを6~10本選んだ。なお、ここでのカール半径は、同心円上に半径を1mm単位で変えた種々の大きさの円を描き、各円弧に毛髪を添わせ、最も一致した円弧の半径とした。

表4に示す処方に従い各成分を80℃で攪拌混合し、常温まで冷却して、シャンプーを調製した。これらのシャンプーについて、以下の方法に従って毛束の広がり抑制効果の評価を行った。
日本人毛髪を用いて、重さ2g、長さ25cmの毛束を作製した。この毛束に対し、ブリーチ処理(花王社製プリティア泡ブリーチ1剤と2剤を製品の表示に従い混合、室温30分放置、無限浴)を2回施した。この毛束を前記評価用シャンプーで洗髪し、15秒間40℃の水道水ですすぎ、タオルドライをした。この後、更に毛束を温風ドライヤーで乾燥した。この毛束を、前記評価用シャンプーで洗髪し、15秒間40℃の水道水ですすぎ、タオルドライをし、更に毛束を温風ドライヤーで乾燥するという工程を60回繰り返し、評価用毛束とした。
上記の評価用毛束を水で濡らし、表4に示すシャンプーを2g塗布し、30秒間泡立てた。次いで30秒間40℃の水道水で濯ぎ、タオルドライ後、冷風で乾燥させる操作を5回繰り返した。ただし、5回目の処理では冷風乾燥に代えて自然乾燥を行った。毛束が完全に乾燥するまで約30分であった。ここで、後述する方法で、毛束の幅を測定した。
この後、この毛束の根元側を、設定温度180℃のアイロン(Recca Electronics社製ストレートアイロン ES2400)のプレートで挟み、毛束を挟んだまま2.5cm/secの速さで根元側から毛先に向かってプレートを滑らせ直毛化した。この操作を3回行った。この状態で、この毛束を25℃、湿度90%RHの環境下に吊るして20時間静置し、以下に示す方法で、毛束の幅を測定した。
毛束の根元から20cmの幅(d)について、アイロン前の自然乾燥後(X)、アイロン後(Y)、20時間高湿度に入れた後(Z)に測定した。それぞれの毛束の幅をdX、dY、dZとし、広がりレベルを以下の式5に従って求めた。この結果を表4に示す。

(6)ラウレス硫酸アンモニウム 11.5質量%
(7)ラウリルヒドロキシスルタイン 1.65質量%
(8)グアーヒドロキシプロピルトリモニウムクロリド 0.14質量%
(9)ポリクオタニウム-10 0.14質量%
(10)ポリクオタニウム-52 0.1質量%
(11)ジメチコン 0.3質量%
(12)水酸化Na 0.4質量%
(13)香料 0.6質量%
(14)水 残余
上記処方のシャンプーを使用した場合、毛髪のダメージに起因する形状変化が抑制され、毛束の広がり抑制、即ちスタイル持続性に優れている。

(5)ベヘントリモニウムクロリド 1.03質量%

(8)ステアリルアルコール 2.35質量%
(9)ジメチコン 1.5質量%
(10)香料 0.5質量%
(11)水 残余
上記処方のコンディショナーを使用した場合、ダメージに起因する毛髪繊維の形状変化が抑制され、毛束の広がり抑制、即ちスタイル持続性に優れている。
Claims (7)
- 以下の成分(A)~(D)及び水を含有し、成分(C)と成分(D)の質量比(C)/(D)が0.1以上20以下である毛髪処理剤。
(A) コハク酸又はその塩 コハク酸として0.1質量%以上2質量%以下
(B) エリスリトール 0.5質量%以上15質量%以下
(C) ベンジルアルコール、フェノキシエタノール及びベンジルオキシエタノールからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種の芳香族アルコール
(D) アルキレン基の炭素数が2又は3であるポリオキシアルキレングリコールの少なくとも1種 0.01質量%以上5質量%以下 - 成分(A)と成分(C)の質量比(A)/(C)が0.1以上10以下である請求項1に記載の毛髪処理剤。
- 毛髪洗浄剤である請求項1又は2に記載の毛髪処理剤。
- 更に、アニオン界面活性剤及び水溶性カチオン性ポリマーを含有する請求項3に記載の毛髪処理剤。
- 非洗浄剤である請求項1又は2記載の毛髪処理剤。
- 更に、カチオン界面活性剤及び飽和脂肪族アルコールを含有する請求項5に記載の毛髪処理剤。
- 請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の毛髪処理剤を毛髪に塗布し、良くなじませた後、洗い流す毛髪処理方法。
