本出願は、2015年1月30日に出願された、日本国特許出願第2015-016689号明細書(その開示全体が参照により本明細書中に援用される)に基づく優先権を主張する。本発明は、被塗物に水性第1着色塗料、水性第2着色塗料及びクリヤ塗料を順次塗装し、得られる3層の複層塗膜を同時に加熱硬化する3コート1ベーク方式により、優れた外観を有する複層塗膜を形成する方法に関する。
被塗物に、下記の工程(1)~(4)、
工程(1):水性第1着色塗料(X)を塗装して第1着色塗膜を形成する工程、
工程(2):前記工程(1)で形成された第1着色塗膜上に、水性第2着色塗料(Y)を塗装して第2着色塗膜を形成する工程、
工程(3):前記工程(2)で形成された第2着色塗膜上に、クリヤ塗料(Z)を塗装してクリヤ塗膜を形成する工程、及び
工程(4):前記工程(1)~(3)で形成された第1着色塗膜、第2着色塗膜及びクリヤ塗膜を同時に焼付け硬化する工程、を順次行う複層塗膜形成方法であって、
該水性第1着色塗料(X)として、
(A)被膜形成性樹脂 、及び
(B)一般式

で表されるリン酸化合物を含有する水性塗料組成物
を塗装することを特徴とする複層塗膜形成方法を提供するものである。
本発明の複層塗膜形成方法によれば、まず、被塗物に、水性第1着色塗料(X)が塗装される。
水性第1着色塗料(X)を適用する被塗物は、特に限定されない。該被塗物としては、例えば、乗用車、トラック、オートバイ、バス等の自動車車体の外板部;バンパー等の自動車部品;携帯電話、オーディオ機器等の家庭電気製品の外板部等を挙げることができる。これらのうち、自動車車体の外板部及び自動車部品が好ましい。
水性第1着色塗料(X)は、(A)被膜形成性樹脂 、及び(B)一般式
R1は、置換基を有していてもよい炭素数2以上20以下の炭化水素基であり、
mが2の場合、各R1は同一でも異なっていてもよく、
R2は、炭素数2~4のアルキレン基であり、
nが2以上の場合、n個のオキシアルキレン単位(R2O)は互いに同じであっても又は互いに異なっていても良く、また、
mが2の場合、(R2O)nは、それぞれ同一であっても異なっていてもよい。)
で表されるリン酸化合物を含有する水性塗料組成物である。
被膜形成性樹脂(A)としては、アクリル樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、ウレタン変性ポリエステル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、ポリウレタン樹脂等の塗料において公知の常用されている樹脂を使用することができる。
アクリル樹脂粒子(A1)は、常法により、例えば、重合性不飽和モノマーを、水中での乳化重合、水中でのミニエマルション重合、懸濁重合等の方法により共重合することによって合成することができる。
(i)1分子中に水酸基及び重合性不飽和基をそれぞれ1個以上有する化合物:例えば、2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、2-ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、3-ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレート等の(メタ)アクリル酸と炭素数2~8の2価アルコールとのモノエステル化物;該(メタ)アクリル酸と炭素数2~8の2価アルコールとのモノエステル化物のε-カプロラクトン変性体;N-ヒドロキシメチル(メタ)アクリルアミド;アリルアルコール、さらに、分子末端が水酸基であるポリオキシエチレン鎖を有する(メタ)アクリレート等。(但し、本発明においては、後述する(xviii)紫外線吸収性官能基を有する重合性不飽和モノマーに該当するモノマーは、上記(i)で規定する1分子中に水酸基及び重合性不飽和基をそれぞれ1個以上有する化合物からは除かれる。)

水溶性アクリル樹脂(A2)は、水等の分散媒中において粒子形態として合成されるアクリル樹脂粒子(A1)とは異なり、親水性基等の水分散性基により、水中に溶解、分散されることにより水性の形態とすることができるアクリル樹脂である。
(i)1分子中に水酸基及び重合性不飽和基をそれぞれ1個以上有する化合物:例えば、2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、2-ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、3-ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレート等の(メタ)アクリル酸と炭素数2~8の2価アルコールとのモノエステル化物;該(メタ)アクリル酸と炭素数2~8の2価アルコールとのモノエステル化物のε-カプロラクトン変性体;N-ヒドロキシメチル(メタ)アクリルアミド;アリルアルコール、さらに、分子末端が水酸基であるポリオキシエチレン鎖を有する(メタ)アクリレート等。(但し、本発明においては、後述する(xviii)紫外線吸収性官能基を有する重合性不飽和モノマーに該当するモノマーは、上記(i)で規定する1分子中に水酸基及び重合性不飽和基をそれぞれ1個以上有する化合物からは除かれる。)

(xx)カルボニル基を有する重合性不飽和モノマー:アクロレイン、ダイアセトンアクリルアミド、ダイアセトンメタクリルアミド、アセトアセトキシエチルメタクリレート、ホルミルスチロール、4~7個の炭素原子を有するビニルアルキルケトン(例えば、ビニルメチルケトン、ビニルエチルケトン、ビニルブチルケトン)等。
カルボキシル基含有重合性不飽和モノマー(xi)を使用することが好ましい。
前記ポリエステル樹脂(A3)は、既知の方法で、常法に従い、多塩基酸と多価アルコ-ルとをエステル化反応させることによって合成することができるポリエステル樹脂である。また、水分散性の観点から、該ポリエステル樹脂としては、カルボキシル基等の酸基を有しているものが好ましい。
ポリウレタン樹脂(A4)は、分子中にウレタン結合を有する水溶性もしくは水分散性の樹脂であり、水性媒体中における形態としては、水溶性タイプ、コロイダルディスパーションタイプ、エマルションタイプ及びスラリータイプのいずれであってもよいが、コロイダルディスパーションタイプもしくはエマルションタイプであることが望ましい。
(1)ポリウレタン樹脂の製造原料としてジメチロールプロピオン酸、ジメチロールブタン酸等のカルボキシル基含有ジオールを使用することにより、ポリウレタン樹脂にカルボキシル基を導入し、該カルボキシル基の一部又は全部を中和することによりポリウレタン樹脂に親水性を付与し、自己乳化により水中に分散又は溶解する方法。
(2)ポリウレタン樹脂の製造原料であるポリオールとしてポリエチレングリコールのごとき親水性ポリオールを使用して水に可溶なポリウレタン樹脂を製造し、それを水中に分散又は溶解する方法。
(3)反応の完結したポリウレタン樹脂又は末端イソシアネート基をオキシム、アルコール、フェノール、メルカプタン、アミン、重亜硫酸ソーダ等のブロック剤でブロックしたポリウレタン樹脂をノニオン性及び/又はカチオン性乳化剤と機械的せん断力を用いて強制的に水中に分散する方法。
(4)末端イソシアネート基をもつウレタンプレポリマーを水/乳化剤/鎖伸長剤と混合し、機械的せん断力を用いて分散化と高分子量化を同時に行なう方法。
リン酸化合物(B)は、下記一般式(1)
R1は、置換基を有していてもよい炭素数2以上20以下の炭化水素基であり、
mが2の場合、各R1は同一でも異なっていてもよく、
R2は、炭素数2~4のアルキレン基であり、
nが2以上の場合、n個のオキシアルキレン単位(R2O)は互いに同じであっても又は互いに異なっていても良く、異なる場合、(R2O)nはランダム付加、ブロック付加または交互付加のいずれの付加形式でもよい。
また、mが2の場合、(R2O)nは、それぞれ同一であっても異なっていてもよい。)、
で表されるリン酸化合物である。
リン酸化合物(B)は、HLB値が、3~17、特に3~15、さらに特に4~13の範囲内であることが好ましい。HLB値が5未満であると、親水性が低く乳化能が弱いため、塗料の安定性、平滑性、鮮映性等が不十分となる場合がある。また、HLB値が17を超えると、親水性が高すぎるため、得られる塗膜の耐水性が低下したり、塗装時の耐ワキ性が低下する場合がある。
(式中、MHは親水基部分の分子量、Mは化合物(界面活性剤)の分子量を意味する)
なお、本発明において、リン酸化合物(B)のHLB値とは、リン酸化合物(B)を製造するにあたっての原料非イオン化合物のHLB値であると定義する。
水性第1着色塗料(X)には、塗料組成物の硬化性及び得られる塗膜の耐水性等の塗膜性能の観点から、必要に応じて架橋剤(C)を含有させることができる。
被膜形成性樹脂(A)が1~100質量%、好ましくは10~90質量%、さらに好ましくは20~80質量%、架橋剤(C)が、0~60質量%、好ましくは3~50質量%、さらに好ましくは5~40質量%、リン酸化合物(C)が、0.1~10質量%、好ましくは0.3~7質量%、さらに好ましくは0.5~5質量%の範囲内であるのが適している。
以上に述べた工程(1)で形成される水性第1着色塗料(X)の塗膜(第1着色塗膜)上には、次いで、水性第2着色塗料(Y)が塗装される。
まず、被塗物上に水性第1着色塗料(X)を塗装すると同時に、予め質量(W1)を測定しておいたアルミホイル上にも水性第1着色塗料(X)を塗装する。続いて、塗装後、プレヒート等がされた該アルミホイルを水性第2着色塗料(Y)が塗装される直前に回収し、その質量(W2)を測定する。次に、回収したアルミホイルを110℃で60分間乾燥し、デシケーター内で室温まで放冷した後、該アルミホイルの質量(W3)を測定し、以下の式に従って固形分含有率を求める。

水性第2着色塗料(Y)
第1着色塗膜上に塗装される水性第2着色塗料(Y)は、一般に、被塗物に平滑性、意匠性等を付与することを目的として塗装されるものであって、例えば、カルボキシル基、水酸基等の架橋性官能基を有する、アクリル樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、アルキド樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、シリコン樹脂等の基体樹脂と、アミノ樹脂、ポリイソシアネート化合物等の架橋剤からなる樹脂成分を、顔料、その他の添加剤と共に水に溶解ないし分散させて塗料化したものを使用することができる。
本発明の複層塗膜形成方法においては、上記工程(2)で形成される水性第2着色塗料(Y)の塗膜(第2着色塗膜)上に、クリヤ塗料(Z)が塗装される。
本発明の複層塗膜形成方法においては、上記工程(1)~(3)で形成される未硬化の第1着色塗膜、未硬化の第2着色塗膜及び未硬化のクリヤ塗膜が、同時に焼付け硬化せしめられる。
製造例1
温度計、サーモスタット、撹拌器、還流冷却器及び滴下装置を備えた反応容器に脱イオン水130部、アクアロンKH-10(注1)0.52部を仕込み、窒素気流中で撹拌混合し、80℃に昇温した。次いで下記のモノマー乳化物1のうちの全量の1%量及び6%過硫酸アンモニウム水溶液5.3部とを反応容器内に導入し80℃で15分間保持した。その後、残りのモノマー乳化物1を3時間かけて、同温度に保持した反応容器内に滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成を行なった。その後、下記のモノマー乳化物2を1時間かけて滴下し、1時間熟成した後、5%ジメチルエタノールアミン水溶液40部を反応容器に徐々に加えながら30℃まで冷却し、100メッシュのナイロンクロスで濾過しながら排出し、平均粒子径108nm(サブミクロン粒度分布測定装置「COULTER N4型」(ベックマン・コールター社製)を用いて、脱イオン水で希釈し20℃で測定した。)、固形分濃度30%、酸価33mgKOH/g、水酸基価25mgKOH/gのアクリル樹脂粒子(A1-1-1)を得た。

下記表1に示す配合とする以外、製造例1と同様にして合成し、アクリル樹脂粒子(A1-1-2)~(A1-1-4)を得た。製造例1と併せて、得られたアクリル樹脂粒子(A1-1-1)~(A1-1-4)の固形分濃度、酸価、水酸基価及び平均粒子径(サブミクロン粒度分布測定装置「COULTER N4型」(ベックマン・コールター社製)を用いて、脱イオン水で希釈し20℃で測定)を下記表1に示す。
製造例5
温度計、サーモスタット、撹拌装置、還流冷却器、窒素導入管及び滴下装置を備えた反応容器に、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル30部を仕込み85℃に昇温後、スチレン10部、メチルメタクリレート30部、2-エチルヘキシルアクリレート15部、n-ブチルアクリレート11.5部、ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート30部、アクリル酸3.5部、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル10部及び2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)2部の混合物を4時間かけて滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成した。その後さらに、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル5部及び2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)1部の混合物を1時間かけてフラスコに滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成した。さらに2-(ジメチルアミノ)エタノール3.03部を加え、脱イオン水を徐々に添加することにより、固形分濃度40%の水溶性アクリル樹脂(A2-1)を得た。得られた水溶性アクリル樹脂(A2-1)の酸価は27mgKOH/g、水酸基価は145mgKOH/gであった。
温度計、サーモスタット、撹拌装置、還流冷却器、窒素導入管及び滴下装置を備えた反応容器に、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル30部を仕込み85℃に昇温後、スチレン10部、メチルメタクリレート55部、2-エチルヘキシルアクリレート15部、n-ブチルアクリレート11.5部、ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート5部、アクリル酸3.5部、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル10部及び2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)2部の混合物を4時間かけて滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成した。その後さらに、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル5部及び2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)1部の混合物を1時間かけてフラスコに滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成した。さらに2-(ジメチルアミノ)エタノール3.03部を加え、脱イオン水を徐々に添加することにより、固形分濃度40%の水溶性アクリル樹脂(A2-2)を得た。得られた水溶性アクリル樹脂(A2-2)の酸価は27mgKOH/g、水酸基価は24mgKOH/gであった。
製造例7
攪拌機、還流冷却器、水分離器及び温度計を備えた反応器に、トリメチロールプロパン109部、1,6-ヘキサンジオール141部、ヘキサヒドロ無水フタル酸126部及びアジピン酸120部を仕込み、160℃~230℃の間を3時間かけて昇温させた後、230℃で4時間縮合反応させた。次いで、得られた縮合反応生成物にカルボキシル基を付加するために、さらに無水トリメリット酸38.3部を加え、170℃で30分間反応させた後、エチレングリコールモノ2-エチルヘキシルエーテル(20℃において100gの水に溶解する質量:3.4g)で希釈し、酸価が46mgKOH/g、水酸基価が150mgKOH/g、固形分濃度70%、重量平均分子量が6,400である水溶性ポリエステル樹脂(A3-1)を得た。
製造例8
製造例5で製造した水溶性アクリル樹脂(A2-1)51部(樹脂固形分20.4部)、ルチル型二酸化チタン(商品名「JR-806」テイカ株式会社製)87部、カーボンブラック(商品名「カーボンMA-100」三菱化学株式会社製)0.8部及び脱イオン水50部を混合し、2-(ジメチルアミノ)エタノールでpH8.0に調整した後、ペイントシェーカーで30分間分散させて顔料分散ペーストを得た。

製造例8において、配合組成を下記表2に示す通りとする以外は、製造例8と同様にして、pH8.2、塗料固形分濃度44%、20℃におけるフォードカップNo.4による粘度30秒の各水性第1着色塗料(X2)~(X36)を得た。

製造例44
下記水酸基含有アクリル樹脂分散液(イ)100部(固形分30部)、下記水酸基含有水溶性アクリル樹脂(ロ)73部(固形分40部)、メチル-ブチル混合エーテル化メラミン樹脂(固形分60%、重量平均分子量2,000)50部(固形分30部)及び下記光輝性顔料濃厚液(P1)64部を均一に混合し、更に、脱イオン水及び2-(ジメチルアミノ)エタノールを加えて、pH8.0、固形分濃度23%の水性第2着色塗料(Y1)を得た。
温度計、サーモスタット、撹拌装置、還流冷却器、窒素導入管及び滴下装置を備えた反応容器に脱イオン水130部、「アクアロンKH-10」(商品名、第一工業製薬株式会社製、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル硫酸塩エステルアンモニウム塩、有効成分97%)0.52部を仕込み、窒素気流中で撹拌混合し、80℃に昇温した。次いで下記のモノマー乳化物(1)のうちの全量の1%量及び6%過硫酸アンモニウム水溶液5.3部を反応容器内に導入し80℃で15分間保持した。次いで、残りのモノマー乳化物(1)を3時間かけて、同温度に保持した反応容器内に滴下した。滴下終了後、1時間熟成した。次いで、下記のモノマー乳化物(2)を1時間かけて滴下した。1時間熟成した後、5% 2-(ジメチルアミノ)エタノール水溶液40部を反応容器に徐々に加えながら30℃まで冷却し、100メッシュのナイロンクロスで濾過することにより、濾液として、平均粒子径120nm(サブミクロン粒度分布測定装置「COULTER N4型」(ベックマン・コールター社製)を用いて、脱イオン水で希釈して20℃で測定した。)、固形分濃度30%の水酸基含有アクリル樹脂分散液(イ)を得た。得られた水酸基含有アクリル樹脂分散液(イ)の酸価は33mgKOH/g、水酸基価は25mgKOH/gであった。
フラスコにプロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル35部を仕込み85℃に昇温後、メチルメタクリレート30部、2-エチルヘキシルアクリレート20部、n-ブチルアクリレート29部、ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート15部、アクリル酸6部、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル15部及び2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)2.3部の混合物を4時間かけてフラスコに滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成した。その後さらにプロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテル10部及び2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)1部の混合物を1時間かけてフラスコに滴下し、滴下終了後1時間熟成した。さらにジエタノールアミン7.4部を加え、固形分濃度55%、酸価47mgKOH/g、水酸基価72mgKOH/gの水酸基含有水溶性アクリル樹脂(ロ)を得た。
攪拌混合容器内において、アルミニウム顔料ペースト「GX-40A」(旭化成メタルズ社製、金属含有量74%)11部、アルミニウム顔料ペースト「MH-8805」(旭化成メタルズ社製、金属含有量68%)10部、エチレングリコールモノ2-エチルヘキシルエーテル35部、リン酸基含有樹脂溶液(*)8部及び2-(ジメチルアミノ)エタノール0.2部を均一に混合して、光輝性顔料濃厚液(P1)を得た。
温度計、サーモスタット、撹拌器、還流冷却器及び滴下装置を備えた反応容器にメトキシプロパノール27.5部、イソブタノール27.5部の混合溶剤を入れ、110℃に加熱し、スチレン25部、n-ブチルメタクリレート27.5部、「イソステアリルアクリレート」(商品名、大阪有機化学工業社製、分岐高級アルキルアクリレート)20部、4-ヒドロキシブチルアクリレート7.5部、リン酸基含有重合性モノマー(**)15部、2-メタクリロイルオキシエチルアシッドホスフェート12.5部、イソブタノール10部、t-ブチルパーオキシオクタノエート4部からなる混合物121.5部を4時間かけて上記混合溶剤に加え、さらにt-ブチルパーオキシオクタノエート0.5部とイソプロパノール20部からなる混合物を1時間滴下した。その後、1時間攪拌熟成して固形分濃度50%のリン酸基含有樹脂溶液を得た。本樹脂のリン酸基による酸価は83mgKOH/g、4-ヒドロキシブチルアクリレートに由来する水酸基価は29mgKOH/g、重量平均分子量は10,000であった。
温度計、サーモスタット、撹拌器、還流冷却器及び滴下装置を備えた反応容器にモノブチルリン酸57.5部、イソブタノール41部を入れ、90℃に昇温後、グリシジルメタクリレート42.5部を2時間かけて滴下した後、さらに1時間攪拌熟成した。その後、イソプロパノ-ル59部を加えて、固形分濃度50%のリン酸基含有重合性モノマー溶液を得た。得られたモノマーのリン酸基による酸価は285mgKOH/gであった。
製造例44において、メチル-ブチル混合エーテル化メラミン樹脂を、「バイヒジュールVPLS2310」(ブロック化ポリイソシアネート化合物、商品名、住化バイエルウレタン社製、固形分38%。(前記(注25)架橋剤(C2)と同じ))79部(固形分30部)に置き換える以外は、製造例44と同様にして、pH8.0、固形分濃度23%の水性第2着色塗料(Y2)を得た。
製造例44において、さらに、リン酸化合物(B6)(注7)2部を添加する以外は、製造例44と同様にして、pH8.0、固形分濃度23%の水性第2着色塗料(Y3)を得た。
上記製造例8~43で得た水性第1着色塗料(X1)~(X36)、及び上記製造例44~46で得た水性第2着色塗料(Y1)~(Y3)を用いて、以下のようにしてそれぞれ試験板を作製し、評価試験を行なった。
リン酸亜鉛処理された冷延鋼板に「エレクロンGT-10」(商品名、関西ペイント社製、熱硬化性エポキシ樹脂系カチオン電着塗料)を乾燥膜厚20μmになるように電着塗装し、170℃で30分間加熱して硬化させて試験用被塗物とした。
上記試験用被塗物に、前記製造例8で得た水性第1着色塗料(X1)を回転霧化型の静電塗装機を用いて、硬化膜厚20μmとなるように静電塗装し、3分間放置後、80℃で3分間プレヒートを行なった。次いで、該未硬化の第1着色塗膜上に製造例44で得た水性第2着色塗料(Y1)を回転霧化型の静電塗装機を用いて、硬化膜厚15μmとなるように静電塗装し、5分間放置後、80℃で3分間プレヒートを行なった。
実施例1において、製造例8で得た水性第1着色塗料(X1)を下記表3に示す水性第1着色塗料(X2)~(X36)のいずれかに変更する以外は、実施例1と同様にして各試験板を作製した。
実施例7において、クリヤ塗料(Z1)をクリヤ塗料(Z2)(アクリルメラミン系溶剤型クリヤ塗料「マジクロンTC-71」関西ペイント株式会社製)に変更する以外は、実施例7と同様にして試験板を作成した。
比較例1において、クリヤ塗料(Z1)をクリヤ塗料(Z2)に変更する以外は、比較例1と同様にして試験板を作成した。
実施例7において、クリヤ塗料(Z1)をクリヤ塗料(Z3)(アクリルイソシアネート系溶剤型クリヤ塗料「マジクロンKINO#6000」関西ペイント株式会社製)に変更する以外は、実施例7と同様にして試験板を作成した。
比較例1において、クリヤ塗料(Z1)をクリヤ塗料(Z3)に変更する以外は、比較例1と同様にして試験板を作成した。
実施例7において、水性第2着色塗料(Y1)を水性第2着色塗料(Y2)に変更する以外は、実施例7と同様にして試験板を作成した。
実施例7において、水性第2着色塗料(Y1)を水性第2着色塗料(Y3)に変更する以外は、実施例7と同様にして試験板を作成した。
比較例1において、水性第2着色塗料(Y1)を水性第2着色塗料(Y2)に変更する以外は、比較例1と同様にして試験板を作成した。
上記実施例1~35及び比較例1~8で得られた各試験板について、下記の試験方法により評価を行なった。評価結果を併せて下記表3に示す。
平滑性:「Wave Scan DOI」(商品名、BYK Gardner社製)によって測定されるWc値を用いて評価した。Wc値は、1~3mm程度の波長の表面粗度の振幅の指標であり、測定値が小さいほど塗面の平滑性が高いことを示す。
S:ゴバン目塗膜が100個残存し、カッターの切り込みの縁において塗膜の小さなフチカケが生じていない
A:ゴバン目塗膜が100個残存するが、カッターの切り込みの縁において塗膜の小さなフチカケが生じている
B:ゴバン目塗膜が90~99個残存する
C:ゴバン目塗膜の残存数が89個以下である。
表中の記載の数字は以下のとおりである。
5:IV値が210以上
4:IV値が190以上210未満
3:IV値が170以上190未満
2:IV値が150以上170未満
1:IV値が140未満
数値が大きいほど、メタリック感が良好である。
S:メタリックムラがほとんど認められず、極めて優れた塗膜外観を有する。
A:メタリックムラがわずかに認められるが、優れた塗膜外観を有する。
C:メタリックムラがかなり又は著しく認められ、塗膜外観が劣る。
Claims (13)
- 被塗物に、下記の工程(1)~(4)、
工程(1):水性第1着色塗料(X)を塗装して第1着色塗膜を形成する工程、
工程(2):前記工程(1)で形成された第1着色塗膜上に、水性第2着色塗料(Y)を塗装して第2着色塗膜を形成する工程、
工程(3):前記工程(2)で形成された第2着色塗膜上に、クリヤ塗料(Z)を塗装してクリヤ塗膜を形成する工程、及び
工程(4):前記工程(1)~(3)で形成された第1着色塗膜、第2着色塗膜及びクリヤ塗膜を同時に焼付け硬化する工程、を順次行う複層塗膜形成方法であって、
該水性第1着色塗料(X)として、
(A)被膜形成性樹脂 、及び
(B)一般式
(式中、mは1又は2であり、nは0又は1~20の整数であり、
R1は、置換基を有していてもよい炭素数2以上20以下の炭化水素基であり、
mが2の場合、各R1は同一でも異なっていてもよく、
R2は、炭素数2~4のアルキレン基であり、
nが2以上の場合、n個のオキシアルキレン単位(R2O)は互いに同じであっても又は互いに異なっていても良く、また、
mが2の場合、(R2O)nは、それぞれ同一であっても異なっていてもよい。)
で表されるリン酸化合物を含有する水性塗料組成物
を塗装することを特徴とする複層塗膜形成方法。 - リン酸化合物(B)が、上記一般式(1)において、nが1~20の整数であるリン酸化合物である請求項1に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- リン酸化合物(B)が、上記一般式(1)におけるオキシアルキレン単位(R2O)がオキシエチレン基であるリン酸化合物である請求項1又は2に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- リン酸化合物(B)が、上記一般式(1)において、R1が置換基を有していてもよい炭素数4以上20以下の炭化水素基を有するリン酸化合物である請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- リン酸化合物(B)が、上記一般式(1)において、R1が置換基を有していてもよい炭素数7以上20以下の炭化水素基を有するリン酸化合物である請求項4に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- リン酸化合物(B)が、上記一般式(1)におけるnが1~20の整数であり、かつHLB値が3~17のリン酸化合物である請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- リン酸化合物(B)の数平均分子量が100~3000の範囲内である請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- リン酸化合物(B)が、上記一般式(1)において、nが0であるリン酸化合物と、nが1~20の整数であるリン酸化合物との混合物である請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- 水性第1着色塗料(X)が、さらに、架橋剤(C)を含有する請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- 被膜形成性樹脂(A)が、アクリル樹脂粒子(A1)を含有する請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- 被塗物が、電着塗装された鋼板であることを特徴とする請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法。
- 請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法に用いる水性第1着色塗料。
- 請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載の複層塗膜形成方法により塗装された物品。
