Definitions

  • the subject-matter of this patent relates to a novel type of special intraocular device - either artificial lens replacing or adding to the previously implanted natural lens or intraocular lens (IOL) - designed to allow direct measurement of the intraocular pressure at any time in the mood. in order to substantially improve the treatment and follow-up of glaucoma patients of various origins.
  • IOL intraocular lens
  • Intraocular Lenses From that time to the present day the Intraocular Lenses have been constantly improved and are produced with flexible and foldable material, which allows implantation by about 3 mm incisions and are a valuable resource for Ophthalmology. Treatment is based on hypotensive eye drops, used to decrease intraocular pressure. Laser treatment is also used to slow the effects of the disease.
