- the above background art can query the relevant protocol specifications of LTE in the 3GPP public website.
- the LTE system introduced a series of Minimization of Drive Test (MDT) functions starting from the Rel-10 version.
- MDT Minimization of Drive Test
- the MDT automatically collects the network-related measurement results by using the normal LTE terminal, and then reports the information to the eNB through the control plane (Control Plane) signaling, and further reports the tracking to the Operation and Maintenance System (OAM) through the upstream interface of the eNB.
- the Trace Collection Entity (TCE) is used for network deployment and adjustment and optimization of operating parameters. For example, MDT can detect weak coverage of certain network areas, blind spot problems, and can find some hotspot areas with large capacity requirements.
- the MDT function is classified into Management Based MDT (Management Based MDT) and Signaling Based MDT (Signaling Based MDT).
- the activation process of the management-based MDT is generally that the OAM sends a Trace Session activation message including the MDT configuration to the eNB, and the eNB selects an appropriate UE in the MDT Valid Area, and configures the MDT. The information is sent to the selected UE.
- the activation process of the signaling-based MDT is to send, by the OAM, a Trace Session activation message including an MDT configuration to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) to activate the MDT measurement of the designated UE, and the HSS will use the UE.
- HSS Home Subscriber Server
- the MDT configuration information is sent to the MME, and the MME sends the MDT configuration information of the UE to the eNB, and the eNB finally sends the MDT configuration information to the UE.
- the signaling-based MDT usually uses an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) or an International Mobile Station Equipment Identity (IMEI) to designate a certain UE, or add area information. Limit the choice of the UE.
- IMSI International Mobile Subscriber Identity
- IMEI International Mobile Station Equipment Identity
- Both the management-based MDT and the signaling-based tracking activation message include Trace Reference information from the OAM, including the Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) information, and the mobile country code ( Mobile country code (referred to as MCC) and mobile network code (Mobile Network code, MNC for short).
- PLMN Public Land Mobile Network
- MCC Mobile country code
- MNC Mobile Network code
- the MDT function can be divided into two working modes according to its operation in the idle state RRC_IDLE and in the connected state RRC_CONNECTED, specifically "Logged MDT” and "immediate MDT".
- Recording minimized drive test means that the UE collects and stores relevant measurement information when the configured condition is satisfied in the RRC_IDLE state, and is used for reporting when the eNBs receive the data in the future. Forward to TCE.
- Immediately minimizing the drive test means that when the UE is in the RRC_CONNECTED state, it collects relevant measurement information and actively uploads it to the eNB when the report meets the reporting condition, and then aggregates the report to the TCE.
- the purpose of the terminal UE to perform various types of MDT measurement and reporting is to provide sufficient measurement sampling data for OAM/TCE to analyze the performance of various aspects of the network, such as wireless coverage and capacity requirements, so the accuracy of the terminal MDT measurement result is very The key, because if the measurement results are not accurate, it will bring different degrees of judgment interference to OAM/TCE, and even the decision made can not optimize the performance of the network, or waste the extra network resources.
- the measurement content of the current LTE MDT can be classified into three types or three layers: L1: for example, the LTE downlink pilot signal (CRS; Channel State Information-Reference Signal, referred to as CRS) CSI-RS) statistical measurement of the strength RSRP and quality RSRQ quantity, L2: for example, statistical measurement of protocol layer delay/loss rate/loss amount of packet layer such as LTE MAC/RLC/PDCP, L3: for example, LTE specific data Statistical measurement of Data Radio Bearer (DRB) data throughput/throughput and other mobility related performance (handover, dropped calls, etc.) indicators.
- DRB Data Radio Bearer
- the accuracy of the above 3-layer/3 type MDT measurement object results may be affected by local interference from the terminal within a certain period of time.
- terminal local interference refers to the following two categories:
- Case 1 In the place close to the local location of the UE, there are other wireless base technology (Radio Access Technology, RAT) micro base stations or wireless signal transmission points, typically low-power nodes such as WLAN AP, Bluetooth device or wireless remote controller.
- the transmission frequency of the UE is adjacent to the current LTE working reception frequency of the UE. Therefore, the sideband leakage of the inter-frequency signal power may cause certain interference to the normal reception of the LTE signal of the UE.
- the interference from these external RAT nodes is relatively random and may vary greatly with the change of the UE location. For example, when the UE is slightly away from these nodes, their interference is almost negligible, and when the UE is further close to these nodes, their The interference will be larger.
- the proxy node AP in the figure refers to a neighboring local interference source AP
- UE1 is a UE that is doing MDT measurement
- UE2 is a neighboring local interference source UE.
- the AP, UE1, and UE2 are all located in the coverage of the operator network cell (that is, the circle in which the LTE base station eNB is located); both the AP and the UE2 generate local interference to the UE1.
- Case 2 Other RAT modules have been embedded in the UE's internal hardware in close proximity, and the working frequencies of LTE and other RAT modules are adjacent. When other RAT modules randomly transmit wireless signals At the time, the LTE receiving module may be directly interfered by signals sent by those RAT transmitting modules.
- the interference of Case 2 and the interference of Case 1 are essentially the same, but since the other RAT modules in Case 2 are always integrated in the UE, the degree of interference is basically not affected by the change of the specific location of the UE.
- Figure 3 (b) is an example of local interference situation 2
- LTE baseband chip is connected to antenna interface 1 through LTE radio frequency chip
- GPS baseband chip is connected to antenna interface 2 through GPS radio frequency chip
- BT (Bluetooth)/Wifi baseband chip passes BT/Wifi radio frequency
- the chip is connected to the antenna interface 3; wherein the LTE radio chip causes LTE interference to the GPS radio chip and the BT/Wifi radio chip, as indicated by the dotted arrow in the figure; the BT/Wifi radio chip will cause BT/Wifi interference to the LTE radio chip, As indicated by the solid arrows in the figure.
- the above cases 1 and 2 belong to the terminal local interference, which is different from the wireless interference from the external network environment of the terminal external operator, because the terminal local interference and the deployment configuration of the external LTE network have nothing to do with the specific wireless parameter settings. It is completely unmanaged and controlled by carrier network elements such as eNB/MME/OAM. Therefore, it has the characteristics of latent, uncontrolled and random. These local interference information cannot directly provide valuable reference for network optimization decision. Under the local interference of the terminal, the UE will make different degrees of deviation when the measurement results of various MDTs are relatively free of local interference. These deviations may bring different degrees of judgment to OAM/TCE.

- FIG. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- Embodiment 1 is a method for minimizing drive test, comprising:
- the UE receives a start or reconfiguration command to remove or mitigate MDT measurement local interference
- the UE when the UE prepares to record any MDT sample value and detects that the local interference signal meets a predetermined condition, then an MDT sample to be recorded is prepared. The value is processed as scheduled.
- the UE receiving the start or reconfiguration command to remove or mitigate the MDT measurement local interference further includes:
- a configuration parameter receives, by the UE, a configuration parameter, where the configuration parameter includes a length of an observation time window and an interference threshold threshold;
- the predetermined condition is that the strength or energy of the local interference signal exceeds the interference threshold threshold for the observation time window.
- performing predetermined processing on an MDT sample value to be recorded includes:
- the MDT sample value of the preparation record is added to a predetermined label and saved as an MDT record value.
- the local interference signal includes a local interference signal from outside the UE and a local interference signal from inside the UE; the label added when the external local interference signal satisfies the predetermined condition may be different from the internal local interference signal.
- performing predetermined processing on an MDT sample value to be recorded includes:
- the MDT sample value of the preparation record is deleted, not saved as an MDT record value, or an MDT sample value of the preparation record is recorded as a null value (such as NULL).
- performing predetermined processing on an MDT sample value to be recorded includes:
- the MDT sample value is subjected to interference filtering processing of the MDT sample value to be recorded to obtain an MDT record value.
- the starting or reconfiguring command to remove or mitigate the MDT measurement local interference is generated by the OAM/TCE when it is found that the UE has an outlier in the MDT measurement result obtained in the past one MDT session, and The eNB where the UE is located is sent to the UE.
- the reason for the outliers in the MDT measurement results may be that the UE is subject to local interference, and may or may not be completely.
- the method further includes:
- the UE stops the predetermined processing after receiving a stop command to remove or mitigate the MDT measurement local interference; the stop command for removing or mitigating the MDT measurement local interference is determined by the OAM/TCE when the UE is in a past MDT session When the abnormal value is no longer present in the obtained MDT measurement result, it is generated and sent to the UE by the eNB where the UE is located.
- the UE may, but is not limited to, determine by the configuration parameters in the command that the command is a start, reconfiguration, or stop command.
- the method further includes:
- the UE sets the MDT related configuration to be invalid when the locally preset condition is met; when the MDT related configuration fails, the UE stops the related MDT operation.
- the setting, by the UE, the MDT-related configuration to fail may be, but is not limited to, adopting a control manner without a display command.
- the implementation condition of the foregoing embodiment is that the LTE network and the terminal UE both have normal capabilities (including communication capability, MDT measurement capability, data processing capability, etc.) and the ability to perform the steps mentioned in this embodiment, and the UE is in the normal wireless network of the LTE network.
- One or more types (L1/L2/L3) of MDT measurements are prepared and are being performed, among the local interference environments described in the background and in the background.
- FIG. 4 A specific implementation process of the foregoing embodiment in the LTE system is shown in FIG. 4, and includes:
- the OAM/TCE obtains a series of MDT measurement results measured by a UE in a past MDT session Session(i) through an existing MDT measurement result collection process, and finds that the series of MDTs are found.
- the MDT record value at some moments may be abnormal compared to the trend of the entire MDT data pattern curve (for example, the sample value suddenly becomes very high, very low, or the trend is very irregular, etc.), then the removal may be started. Or reduce the flow of MDT measurement local interference.
- the above i is a positive integer indicating the sequence number of the MDT Session.
- the OAM/MME/TCE sends a command (start) and related configuration parameters of “Remove or mitigate MDT measurement local interference” to the serving eNB where the UE is located through a control message on the terrestrial interface.
- the eNB further sends a command (start) and related configuration parameters of "removing or mitigating MDT measurement local interference" to the corresponding UE through a control message on the air interface.
- the UE After receiving the command (start) and related configuration parameters of the “Remove or mitigate MDT measurement local interference” from the eNB, the UE internally performs one or more of the following schemes for removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement:
- Solution 1 In the local interference case 1, when the UE detects that other external RATs are transmitting interference signals (because the receiving module of the corresponding RATs is configured inside the UE, such interference signals can be detected), and when the UE is preparing When recording an MDT sample value, when the measured interference signal strength or energy exceeds a predetermined interference threshold threshold within a predetermined observation time window, the UE attaches the IDC-EX label to the MDT sample value to be recorded. Then save it as the MDT record value.
- the UE when the UE detects that other internal RATs are transmitting interference signals, and when the UE is preparing to record a certain MDT sample value, the measured interference signal strength or energy always exceeds within a predetermined observation time window.
- the UE adds the IDC-IN label to the MDT sample value to be recorded and then saves it as the MDT record value.
- Solution 2 In local interference case 1, when the UE detects that other external RATs are transmitting interference signals, and when the UE is preparing to record a certain MDT sample value, the measured interference signal strength or energy is in a predetermined observation time window. When the predetermined interference threshold threshold is exceeded, the UE does not record the MDT sample value to be recorded (this can reduce the storage of useless information and the amount of MDT report information), that is, the MDT sample value is not saved as the MDT record value. Or record as a null value.
- the UE when the UE detects that other internal RATs are transmitting interference signals, and when the UE is preparing to record a certain MDT sample value, the measured interference signal strength or energy always exceeds within a predetermined observation time window. When the predetermined interference threshold is reached, the UE does not record the MDT sample value to be recorded, that is, does not save the MDT sample value as an MDT record value or record as a null value.
- Solution 3 In local interference case 1, when the UE detects that other external RATs are transmitting interference signals, and when the UE is preparing to record a certain MDT sample value, the measured interference signal strength or energy is in a predetermined observation time window. When the predetermined interference threshold threshold is exceeded, the UE performs a specific interference filtering process on the MDT sample value to be recorded to obtain an MDT record value.
- the UE when the UE detects that other internal RATs are transmitting interference signals, And when the UE is preparing to record a certain MDT sample value, and the measured interference signal strength or energy exceeds a predetermined interference threshold threshold within a predetermined observation time window, the UE specifies the MDT sample value to be recorded.
- the interference filter processing is performed to obtain an MDT record value.
- MDT record value (N) MDT sample value (N) * a + MDT record value (N-1) * (1-a), where a is a fixed filter coefficient, which can be The relevant configuration parameter is obtained or preset in the UE; N is a time serial number; when N is 1 (ie, when the session is recorded for the first time), the MDT record value (N-1) is 0.
- the length of the observation time window and the interference threshold threshold may be obtained by the relevant configuration parameter, or preset in the UE; the UE may specifically select which processing scheme, or the UE may determine according to the relevant configuration parameter. , or perform a predetermined or default scenario.
- the UE performs the S3 removal or mitigation of the local interference of the MDT measurement, and then triggers and reports according to the existing MDT result of the LTE system (may but not limited to the existing MDT measurement data reporting module of the LTE system), and reports
- the eNB has further recorded a series of MDT measurement results (ie, a series of MDT record values) after the local interference is removed (ie, after step S3), and the eNB further reports the MDT series of measurement results to the TCE for summary analysis.
- the OAM/TCE obtains a series of MDT measurement results measured by the UE in a new MDT Session(j) through the existing MDT measurement result collection process, and after reanalysis, it is found that: In the measurement results, the MDT pattern curve trend is normal (such as the MDT entry record without IDC-EX/IN label (when using scheme 1), there is no missing MDT entry record at some time (when using scheme 2), the MDT pattern curve trend The overall comparison is smooth (when using scenario 3)).
- the OAM/TCE selects to stop/re-disable the process of removing or mitigating the local interference of the MDT measurement, and performs S6; or selects the UE to continue to execute the previously configured scheme for removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement and related parameters, and returns to S3.
- the above j is a positive integer, indicating the sequence number of the MDT Session, which is greater than i.
- the OAM/TCE may also decide to stop the process of removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement, such as when it is determined that the abnormal measurement result is caused by local interference.
- step S6 Similar to the foregoing step S2, the OAM/MME/TCE sends a new command to “remove or mitigate the local interference of the MDT measurement” (stop or re-distribute) and related configuration parameters to the service of the UE through the control message on the ground interface. eNB. The eNB further passes control over the air interface The message sends a command (stop or reconfigure) and related configuration parameters to the UE to remove or mitigate MDT measurement local interference. If it is a reconfiguration command, the UE then proceeds to step S3 again to perform a new round of removal or mitigation of the flow of MDT measurement local interference; if it is a stop command, the UE returns to S1 and waits for the next round of determination.
- a command stop or reconfigure
- the content of the above embodiment provides a method for mitigating the influence of local interference of the terminal on the accuracy of the measurement result.
- This embodiment is applicable to the case of a problem with MDT or similar technology and facing local interference, and may be, but is not limited to, MDT for use in an LTE system.
- the carrier A configures the Logged MDT related parameters for the UE 3 served by the eNB under the jurisdiction, and learns through the existing LTE wireless capability interaction process that the UE3 has the corresponding capability.
- the UE 3 in the RRC_IDLE state is free to move within the eNB cell, and performs related measurement of the MDT L1.
- the OAM/TCE obtains a series of MDT measurements measured by the UE 3 in the past MDT Session(i) through the existing MDT measurement result collection process. After analysis, it is found that, in some time periods, The RSR measured RSRQ (LTE Reference Signal Receive Quality) recorded value irregularly periodically appears to have some low valleys, and thus determines the process of starting to remove or mitigate the local interference of the MDT measurement.
- the RSR measured RSRQ LTE Reference Signal Receive Quality
- the OAM/MME sends a start command and related configuration parameters, such as an evaluation time window length T1 and an interference threshold threshold TL1, to the “removing or mitigating MDT measurement local interference” by using a control message “minimize the drive test configuration message” on the ground interface. It is sent to the serving eNB where the UE 3 is located. The eNB further transmits the above information to the UE 3 via a control message "Minimize Drive Test Configuration Message" on the air interface.
- a start command and related configuration parameters such as an evaluation time window length T1 and an interference threshold threshold TL1
- the UE 3 performs the S1 removal or mitigation of the local interference of the MDT to measure the local interference, and the reporting is performed according to the existing MDT result triggering and reporting method (Logged MDT Results Available indication, UE Information Request/UE Information Response process) of the LTE system.
- the MN records a series of measurements of the new MDT, and the eNB further reports the MDT series of measurements to the TCE for analysis.
- the OAM/TCE obtains a series of MDT data reported by the UE 3 at S104, and after re-analysis, it is found that the low-altitude RSRQ sample record values of most irregular periods in the MDT pattern curve are accompanied by IDC-EX and IDC-IN. The tag, therefore, determines that these "outliers" are caused by UE 3 local interference. The OAM/TCE further decides to stop the UE 3 from removing or mitigating the process of MDT measuring local interference.
- the OAM/MME/eNB stops the process of removing or mitigating the local interference of the MDT by using the control message “Minimize the drive test configuration message” on the ground/air interface in S102. Then if the MDT measurement of UE 3 is still going on, no processing scheme to remove or mitigate the local interference of the MDT measurement is performed.
- the operator B configures the relevant MDT related parameters for the UE 4 served by the eNB under the jurisdiction of the eNB, and learns through the LTE existing wireless capability interaction process that the UE 4 has the corresponding capability.
- the UE 4 in the RRC_CONNECTED state is free to move within the eNB cell, and performs related measurement of the MDT L2.
- the OAM/TCE has obtained a series of MDT measurement results measured by the UE 4 in the past MDT Session(i) through the existing MDT measurement result collection process. After analysis, it is found that, in some time periods, The DTIP packet loss rate sampling record value of a user's VOIP service measured by the MDT periodically appears to have some glitch peaks, so it is decided to start the process of removing or mitigating the local interference of the MDT measurement.
- the OAM/MME uses the control message “Minimize the drive test configuration message” on the ground interface to set a start command and related configuration parameters, such as an evaluation time window length T2 and an interference threshold threshold TL2, to “remove or mitigate MDT measurement local interference”. It is sent to the serving eNB where the UE 4 is located. eNB The above information is sent to the UE 4 in one step through the control message "Minimize the drive test configuration message" on the air interface.
- the UE 4 After receiving and configuring the start command and related configuration parameters of the foregoing “removing or mitigating MDT measurement local interference” from the eNB, the UE 4 performs the scheme of removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement while continuing to perform the immediate MDT. to evaluate. Then, in the case that the evaluation condition is satisfied, the UE 4 deletes the MDT sample value and does not record at some MDT measurement sampling moments.
- the UE 4 After performing the S203 removal or mitigation of the MDT measurement local interference, the UE 4 reports the existing MDT result triggering and reporting method (immediate MDT Results Available indication, UE Information Request/UE Information Response process) in the LTE system.
- the MN records a series of measurements of the new MDT, and the eNB further reports the MDT series of measurements to the TCE for analysis.
- the OAM/TCE obtains a series of MDT data reported by the UE 4 in S204, and after re-analysis, it is found that the user VOIP service PDCP packet loss rate sampling glitch record value periodically appears in the MDT pattern curve, so the past abnormalities are determined. The value is caused by local interference of UE 4. The OAM/TCE further decides to maintain the UE 4 process of removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement.
- the OAM/MME/eNB reconfigures the process of removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement by using the control message “Minimize the drive test configuration message” on the ground/air interface in S202, and may modify some related parameters. For example, the time window length T2 and the interference threshold threshold TL2 are evaluated. Thereafter, if the MDT measurement of the UE 4 is still continuing, the processing scheme of removing or mitigating the local interference of the MDT measurement is continued.
- the carrier C configures the relevant MDT related parameters for the UE 5 served by the eNB under the jurisdiction of the eNB, and learns through the LTE existing wireless capability interaction process that the UE 5 has the corresponding capability.
- the UE 5 in the RRC_CONNECTED state is free to move within the eNB cell, performing related measurements of the MDT L3.
- OAM/TCE has obtained the existing MDT measurement result collection process.
- a series of MDT measurements measured by UE 5 in the past MDT Session(i). After analysis, it is found that during certain time periods, the MDT measures the PDCP packet throughput rate of a certain data download service of a certain user. Some low valleys appeared, so it was decided to initiate the process of removing or mitigating local interference of MDT measurements.
- the OAM/MME sends a start command and related configuration parameters, such as an evaluation time window length T3 and an interference threshold threshold TL3, to the “removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement” through a control message “minimize the drive test configuration message” on the ground interface.
- the interference filter coefficient a is sent to the serving eNB where the UE 5 is located.
- the eNB further transmits the above information to the UE 5 via a control message "Minimize Drive Test Configuration Message" on the air interface.
- the UE 5 After performing the S303 removal or mitigation of the MDT measurement local interference, the UE 5 performs the MDT result triggering and reporting mode (immediate MDT Results Available indication, UE Information Request/UE Information Response process), and the reporting has been recorded. The new MDT series of measurements, the eNB further reported the MDT series of measurements to the TCE summary analysis.
- the MDT result triggering and reporting mode immediate MDT Results Available indication, UE Information Request/UE Information Response process
- the OAM/TCE obtains a series of MDT data reported by the UE 5 in S304, and after re-analysis, it is found that the PDCP packet throughput rate of the data download service of the user that appears periodically in the MDT pattern curve basically disappears, so the past is determined. Those "outliers" are caused by UE 5 local interference. The OAM/TCE further decides to maintain the UE 5 to remove or mitigate the process of MDT measurement local interference.
- the OAM/MME/eNB reconfigures the process of removing or mitigating local interference of the MDT measurement by using the control message “Minimize the drive test configuration message” on the ground/air interface in S302, and may modify some related parameters. For example, the time window length T3 and the interference threshold threshold TL3, and the interference filter coefficient a are evaluated. Then if the MDT measurement of UE 5 continues, continue to A treatment scheme that removes or mitigates local interference from MDT measurements.

- the MDT record value obtained by the recording module 502 is:
- MDT record value (N) MDT sample value (N) * a + MDT record value (N-1) * (1-a), Where a is a fixed filter coefficient and N is a time serial number.
- the starting or reconfiguring command to remove or mitigate the MDT measurement local interference is generated by the OAM/TCE when it is found that the UE has an outlier in the MDT measurement result obtained in the past one MDT session, and The eNB where the UE is located is sent to the UE.
