- the internal database stores business information that has been in business relations up to now, and often contains information (technical know-how, prices, etc.) that, if leaked to the outside, can cause problems with the credit of the transaction.
- Companies that have a business relationship are generally limited to suppliers whose buyers are their own companies. Therefore, in order to search for new suppliers, it is necessary to use them together with an external database.
- Most internal databases store company information according to a predetermined format and are managed by a database management system.
- the external database is likely to be insufficient in terms of the amount of information and the specifics of the information content as individual company information for searching for suppliers. Is important to get. In particular, it is important to search for suppliers of parts that cannot be procured from companies that have a business relationship to date.
- external databases such as websites publicize their parts and technologies for PR and sales promotion of each company's technical capabilities, they actively disclose delivery results to major customers (buyers). It is rare to disclose suppliers (suppliers) of parts (parts here are metal materials in the case of a metal processing company, for example).
- the company information collected in the internal database depends on the transaction content up to the present, and does not include much other information related to the company (for example, parts with no transaction history).
- the company information DB 100 there is a great advantage of using both an internal database and an external database related to the same company.
