Abstract

The invention relates to a protective device for a pressure equalizing element (9) mounted on the housing (4) of a controller (5) of an electrical machine (1) for equalizing the pressure between the ambient pressure and the pressure in the housing interior (21) of the controller (5), said pressure equalizing element (9) covering a pressure equalizing opening (22) provided in the housing cover (8) of the controller (5), and a protective device (14) covering the pressure equalizing element (9) being fastened to the housing (4) of the controller (5).
