Abstract

La présente invention concerne des techniques d'obtention d'images de tissus biologiques dans le but de déterminer une information biologique sur l'échantillon de tissu soumis à l'imagerie, comme des changements de concentrations d'hémoglobine, du débit sanguin (pouls) et/ou des caractéristiques spatio-temporelles. Des modes de réalisation comprennent l'éclairage de l'échantillon de tissu par de la lumière dans le spectre des infrarouges proches (IRP), qui est minimalement absorbée mais diffusée dans l'échantillon de tissu. En détectant la lumière IRP qui est atténuée dans, transmise par et/ou réfléchie par le tissu soumis à l'imagerie, les signaux d'intensité IRP obtenus peuvent être ensuite analysés pour obtenir ces données. Des modes de réalisation comprennent l'utilisation de multiples sources d'IRP ayant diverses longueurs d'onde pour déterminer des changements des concentrations d'oxy- et de désoxy-hémoglobine de la région de tissu soumise à l'imagerie. L'échantillon de tissu peut être soumis à l'imagerie pendant une période de temps, et les images IRP peuvent être visualisées en statique ou en temps réel après que des analyses post-traitement aient été effectuées.
