Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and device for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality or high resolution and quality of the image is achieved by using motion sensor/direction sensor/position sensors and by matching minimum number of contrast points. The device(3) can be a typical mobile phone/device(3) with front and back camera feature. The device(3) and method allows the person to capture any image/self-image through a low resolution/front camera and further allow/assist the person to take a same image with same composition with high resolution/high quality image(5) through a back side camera of a cell/dual camera device. The device (3) further having a control means which assists and guides the person/photographer to capture an accurate image, wherein the control means includes plurality of sensing means for sensing required parameters. The control means allows the person to obtain quality image with desired boundary region which is preprogrammed into the control means.
Description
Title: A METHOD FOR CAPTURING AN ACCURATELY COMPOSED HIGH QUALITY SELF-IMAGE USING A MULTI CAMERA DEVICE.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a photography more particularly the invention relates to a device and method for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality and/or high resolution. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A SELFIE is a type of self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. SELFIEs are often associated with social networking. They are often casual, and are typically taken either with a camera held at arm's length or through a mirror, and typically include either only the photographer or the photographer and as many other people as desired or the photographer with desired background can be in focus.
But, disadvantages of capturing the SELFIE images is that it is difficult to capture an accurate image with proper composition (mostly photographer's image gets cropped out of the frame and desired composition is not achieved). This causes the user to attempt capturing the desired picture multiple times for better results.
To avoid these drawbacks, nowadays the front camera in cell phones (used for video conferencing) for taking self-images. The advantage of using the front camera is that the user is able to see the display and thus has control over the composition of the image while shooting. But predominantly, all of the mobile phones have a low resolution camera in the front and thus the clarity of the photo taken through front camera is very low compared with ones taken with the back camera.
Therefore, there is a need for a method and device to capture a desired image at higher resolution but also with the desired composition and enable easy accessibility to unskilled persons also.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention is to provide a device and method for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality or high resolution.
Another object of the invention is to use a typical smart phone/dual camera device for achieving above object.
Yet another object of the invention is to assist a person who is taking a self-image for obtaining high quality/high resolution image.
Yet another object of the invention is to allow the person to capture any image/self-image through a low resolution/front camera of a cell/mobile phone device and further allow/assist the person to take the same image with same composition and high resolution/high quality image through a back side camera of a cell/mobile phone device.
Yet another object of the invention is to achieve above objects by identifying and matching minimum number of contrast points. Yet another object of the invention is to capture accurate image by using a motion sensor/direction sensor/position sensor or a combination of above as a one of the assisting means.
Yet another object of the invention is to obtain better quality image even if the device is designed within design limitation (the proposed device deliberately provides low resolution/small size camera in easy accessible position/nearby display) because providing high resolution camera near the display of the device will impose a space constraint.
Further object of the invention is to systematically avoid manual mistakes while capturing images. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Fig 2 illustrates embodiment of the invention which clearly shows the flow chart. The above drawing illustrates the details has been given and will be provided with respect to certain specific embodiments, it is to be understood that the scope of the disclosure should
not be limited to such embodiments but that the same are provided simply for enablement and best mode purposes. The breadth and spirit of the present disclosure is broader than the embodiments specifically disclosed and encompassed within the claims eventually appended hereto.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the present invention provides a device(3) and method for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality or high resolution and quality of the image is achieved by using motion sensor/direction sensor/position sensors and by matching minimum number of contrast points. The device(3) can be a typical mobile phone/device(3) with front and back camera feature. The device(3) and method allows the person to capture any image/self-image through a low resolution/front camera and further allow/assist the person to take a same image with same composition with high resolution/high quality image(5) through a back side camera of a cell/dual camera device.
The device(3) further having a control means which assists and guides the person/photographer to capture an accurate image, wherein the control means includes plurality of sensing means for sensing required parameters. The control means allows the person to obtain quality image with desired boundary region which is pre-programmed into the control means.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
One of the embodiments of the invention discloses about a method for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality and high resolution. For obtaining the image with above desired quality first capturing an initial image by means of a first camera which is positioned in easy accessible location(1) and moving the device(3) in the predetermined control direction until a similar image with similar composition is obtained through the secondary camera, and aiding the user in achieving this movement accurately. Once the desired image or image with predetermined quality is obtained then the control means automatically capturing
the desired image automatically based on accelerometer/motion sensor input or by prompting the person to capture the desired image manually.
Another object of the invention discloses about steps involved in capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality and high resolution, the method comprises the steps of;
Step 1 : capturing an initial image by means of a first camera which is positioned in easy accessible location(1 ), with the aid of the display to capture desired composition.
Step 2: moving the device(3) in the predetermined control direction until a similar image with similar composition is obtained through the secondary camera, and aiding the user in achieving this movement accurately
Step 3: capturing the desired image automatically or manually,
Wherein, the control means repeating the step 2 until the first captured image and image being captured via secondary camera have the similar, desired composition
Wherein, when the secondary camera view the first captured image with desired composition then the control means allowing the person for step 3.
Wherein, the movement in the predetermined direction is aided by control means with respect to plurality of sensing means.
Yet another embodiment of the invention discloses about a device(3) for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality and high resolution. The device(3) comprises of plurality of low resolutions cameras and at least one high resolution camera. The plurality of low resolutions cameras are positioned in easy accessible location/constrained location(1 ) of the device(3) and the high resolution camera is positioned in desired location/non-constrained location(2) of the device. A control means configured to guide a person to capture high quality image via high quality camera by initially capture low resolution image(4) through any one of the low resolution camera. Wherein the control means configured to assist a person with respect to plurality of sensing means. The sensing means is decided with respect to control need. Wherein the control means positioning the secondary camera according to position, movement and pixel information obtained from step 1 and 2 in order to obtain the accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality/boundary and high resolution.
Yet another embodiment of the invention discloses about a sensing means of a device, the sensing means can be an direction sensor or motion sensor or position sensor or a combination thereof.
Further object of the invention discloses about device, the device can be a mobile phone or camera or any mobile device or medical image viewer or personal digital assistant or combination thereof such that the device comprises of plurality of low resolutions cameras and at least one high resolution camera.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION
The method and device allow any person can take desired self-image with desired compositon and high quality. Further they can use any dual camera device for achieving the same.
The device eliminates the need of front camera modules with high resolution capabilities because these are expensive, difficult to make and reduce the display size. While considerable emphasis has been placed herein on the various components of the preferred embodiment, it will be appreciated that many alterations can be made and that many modifications can be made in the preferred embodiment without departing from the principles of the invention. These and other changes in the preferred embodiment as well as other embodiments of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the disclosure herein, whereby it is to be distinctly understood that the foregoing descriptive matter is to be interpreted merely as illustrative of the invention and not as a limitation.
Claims
WE CLAIM:
150 1. A method for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality and high resolution, the method comprises the steps of;
Step 1 : capturing an initial image by means of a first camera which is positioned in easy accessible location,
Step 2: moving the device in the predetermined control direction until a similar image with similar 155 composition is obtained through the secondary camera, and aiding the user in achieving this movement accurately
Step 3: capturing the desired image automatically or manually,
Wherein, the control means repeating the step 2 until the first captured image and image being captured via secondary camera have the similar, desired composition
160 Wherein, when the secondary camera view the first captured image with desired boundary limit then the control means allowing the person for step 3.
Wherein, the movement in the predetermined direction is aided by control means with respect to plurality of sensing means.
165 2. The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sensing means can be an direction sensor or motion sensor or position sensor or a combination thereof.
3. A device for capturing an accurate composition of an intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality and high resolution,
170 - the device comprises of plurality of low resolutions cameras and at least one high resolution camera,
- the plurality of low resolutions cameras are positioned in easy accessible location/constrained location of the device,
- the high resolution camera is positioned in desired location/non-constrained location of the 175 device,
- a control means configured to guide a person to capture high quality image via high quality camera by initially capturing a low resolution image through any one of the low resolution cameras,
Wherein the control means configured to assist a person with respect to plurality of sensing 180 means,
Wherein the control means mapping a first image taken from low resolution camera and a second image viewed by a high resolution camera for obtaining the accurate composition of an
intended image/self-image/self-image with surrounding objects, with desired quality/boundary and high resolution.
4. The device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the sensing means can be a direction sensor or motion sensor or position sensor or a combination thereof.

The device as claimed in claim 3 & 4, wherein the device can be a mobile phone or camera or any mobile device or medical image viewer or personal digital assistant or combination thereof such that the device comprises of plurality of low resolutions cameras and at least one high resolution camera.
