Abstract
The present invention relates to a cooling device (1) comprising a body (2), a door (3) that provides access into the body (2), at least one shelf (4) disposed on the inner surface of the door (3), a water dispenser (5) that is disposed on the front surface of the door (3), and a receptacle (6) that is disposed on the inner surface of the door (3) and that supplies water for the water dispenser (5).
Description
The present invention relates to a cooling device that comprises a water tank supplying water for the water dispenser unit.
In cooling devices, for example in some refrigerators, water dispensers are disposed, that enable the user to receive water without opening the refrigerator door. The said water dispensers are disposed on the refrigerator door and comprise a receptacle on the inner surface of the door, wherein the water is stored. When the receptacle is required to be cleaned in the course of time, it is difficult for the user to remove the receptacle if fixed by using elements such as screws, etc. Moreover, this situation causes labor and time losses during the assembly of the receptacle.
In Patent Applications No. WO2006134549 and WO2010026249, a cooling device comprising a water dispenser is disclosed.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooling device comprising a receptacle that is easy to be produced and assembled.
The cooling device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises a body, a door providing access into the body and whereon a water dispenser is disposed, and a receptacle that supplies water for the water dispenser and that is produced by being integrated to the adjacent shelves. Thus, the production and the assembly of the receptacle are facilitated.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle is produced as a single piece together with the shelf. Thus, it is not required to use two different molds for the production of the receptacle and the shelf, thus decreasing the mold costs.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle and the shelf that are produced as a single piece are joined by means of welding. Thus, the receptacle and the shelf can be quickly integrated with each other.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle and the shelf are produced so that they can be joined by snap-fit method. By means of this embodiment, the receptacle and the shelf gain a modular structure and the user can easily separate the receptacle from the shelf if cleaning is required.
In an embodiment of the present invention, no element is provided on the receptacle for fixing purposes and the receptacle produced in an integrated manner with the shelves, is fastened onto the door by fitting the pins on the shelves into the guides on the inner surface of the door.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the pins are disposed on the inner surface of the door and the shelf is fixed onto the door by seating the guides on the edges of the shelf over the pins. Since the guides are situated on the detachable shelf, the guides, that are difficult to clean due to their recessed structure, can be easily removed together with the shelf and cleaned under a running tap.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle is produced from transparent plastic material. The transparent receptacle provides easy detection of fullness and a pleasant appearance for the user.
By means of the present invention, the receptacle supplying water for the water dispenser is enabled to be easily detached together with the shelf. Moreover, by producing the receptacle integrated with the shelves, it is not required to use additional elements such as screws, etc. during the assembly of the receptacle.
The cooling device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
Figure 1 – is the schematic view of a cooling device.
Figure 2 – is the perspective view of the receptacle and the shelf related to an embodiment of the present invention.
Figure 3 – is the perspective view of the receptacle and the shelf related to an embodiment of the present invention from a different angle.
Figure 4 – is the perspective view of the door, the receptacle and the shelf related to an embodiment of the present invention.
The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
1. Cooling device
2. Body
3. Door
4. Shelf
5. Water dispenser
6. Receptacle
The cooling device (1) comprises a body (2), a door (3) that provides access into the body (2), at least one shelf (4) disposed on the inner surface of the door (3), a water dispenser (5) that is disposed on the front surface of the door (3), and a receptacle (6) that is disposed on the inner surface of the door (3) and that supplies water for the water dispenser (5).
The user opens the door (3) and fills in the receptacle (6) with water and then when water is needed, he/she takes water from the water dispenser (5) without opening the door (3).
The cooling device (1) of the present invention comprises the receptacle (6) that is produced integrated with at least one shelf (4). By producing the receptacle (6) and the shelves (4) in an integrated manner, time savings are provided during production and assembly.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the shelf (4) is produced as a single piece together with the receptacle (6). For example, the shelf (4) and the receptacle (6) can be produced in a single mold, providing cost advantage with respect to the production using two different molds.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle (6) is joined with the shelf (4) by means of plastic welding methods such as hot-plate welding, friction welding, etc. By means of this embodiment, the shelf (4) and the receptacle (6) produced separately are enabled to be integrated.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the shelf (4) and the receptacle (6) are joined by snap-fit method.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooling device (1) comprises pins that are disposed on the outer edges of the shelves (4) situated at both sides of the receptacle (6), and guides that are arranged on the inner surface of the door (3), wherein the pins are seated. While the shelves (4) are fixed to the door (3) by seating the pins into the guides, it is not required to use additional elements for fixing the receptacle (6) since the receptacle (6) is integrated with the shelves (4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooling device (1) comprises the pins that are disposed on the inner surface of the door (3) and the guides that are arranged on the edges of the shelf (4), wherein the pins are seated. While the shelves (4) are fixed to the door (3) by seating the pins into the guides, it is not required to use additional elements for fixing the receptacle (6) since the receptacle (6) is integrated with the shelves (4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooling device (1) comprises the receptacle (6) produced from transparent plastic. Thus, the user can easily see if the receptacle (6) is full during the filling process.
The receptacle (6) used in the cooling device (1) of the present invention is produced in a modular structure so as to be easily detached by the user together with the shelves (4) when desired and no fixing element is used for the assembly of the receptacle (6). By means of the receptacle (6) produced integrated with the shelf (4), cost advantage is provided during production and assembly, thus decreasing time losses.
