絶縁材料からなり、前記接続部材を保持する保持部を有するとともに、前記蓄電素子群ごとに分割可能な絶縁プロテクタを備え、前記接続部材は、前記第1電極端子及び前記第2電極端子とにそれぞれ接続される2つの端子接続部、ならびに2つの前記端子接続部をつなげる連係部を有する一方、前記絶縁プロテクタの保持部は、前記接続部材の周縁に沿って配される保護壁を有し、前記接続部材の前記連係部と前記保護壁との間には、クリアランスが設けられていてもよい。
このような構成とすると、蓄電素子群の並び方向における第1電極端子と端子接続部との位置ずれや、第2電極端子と端子接続部との位置ずれを吸収することができる。
このような構成とすると、絶縁プロテクタを蓄電素子群に位置決めすることができるので、絶縁プロテクタを蓄電素子群に取り付ける作業を容易に行える。
このような構成とすると、接続部材の過度な移動を抑えることができる。
以下、本発明の実施形態1を図1~図10を参照しつつ説明する。
本実施形態の蓄電素子群12の接続構造10は、図2に示すように複数(本実施形態では2つ)の蓄電素子群12を横並びにして接続する構造である。蓄電素子群12の接続構造10は、図1に示すように、隣り合う蓄電素子群12を接続する第1接続部材20(接続部材の一例)と、蓄電素子群12を構成する蓄電素子13,13間を接続する第2接続部材25と、第1接続部材20を保持する第2保持部36(保持部の一例)を有する絶縁プロテクタ31と、を備える。複数の蓄電素子群12を接続してなる蓄電モジュール(図示せず)は、例えば、電気自動車またはハイブリッド自動車等の車両の駆動源として使用される。
各蓄電素子群12は、図2に示すように、本体部17の電極形成面17A(同一面の一例)に正極および負極の電極端子14を有する複数の(本実施形態では7つ)の蓄電素子13を直列に接続してなる。各蓄電素子群12においては、図2の上下方向において隣り合う蓄電素子13,13の電極端子14,14の極性が逆極性となるように配されている。
第2接続部材25は、銅、銅合金、ステンレス鋼(SUS)、アルミニウム等の金属からなり、接続する電極端子14A,14B間の寸法に応じた長さの板状をなし、ボルト(図示せず)の軸部が挿通される通し孔26が一対貫通形成されている。この通し孔26の形状は、左右方向に長い長円形状をなす。
第1接続部材20は、銅、銅合金、ステンレス鋼(SUS)、アルミニウム等の金属からなる。第1接続部材20は、図1における左下に配される端部に第1電極端子16Aに接続される端子接続部21を有し、図示右上に配される端部に第2電極端子16Bに接続される端子接続部21を有する。
本実施形態の蓄電素子群12の接続構造10は、第2接続部材25および第1接続部材20に、それぞれ重ねて配される電圧検知端子28を備える。
電圧検知端子28は、蓄電素子13の電圧を検知するためのものであって、図1に示すように、中心部にボルトの軸部を挿通可能な円形状の挿通孔29Aが貫通形成された平板状の接続部29と、接続部29の端部に連なり電線Wの端末に接続される電線接続部30とを備える。電圧検知端子28の接続部29は第2接続部材25や第1接続部材20に重ねられ接続される部分である。
絶縁プロテクタ31は絶縁材料からなり、図1に示すように、蓄電素子群12ごとに2つのユニット31A,31Bに分割可能とされる。絶縁プロテクタ31は2つのユニット31A,31Bを連結部32(詳細は後述)を介して連結してなる構成である。
次に、蓄電素子群12の接続方法について説明する。
図2に示すように7つの蓄電素子13を隣り合う電極端子14A,14Bが逆極性となるように並べてなる蓄電素子群12(12A,12B)を2つ作製し、当該2つの蓄電素子群12A,12Bを横並びにして配置する。
次に、第2接続部材25および第1接続部材20に、電線Wを接続した電圧検知端子28を重ねておき、絶縁プロテクタ31の、第1保持部33と第2保持部36にそれぞれ収容する(これを配線モジュール11とする)。
本実施形態によれば、以下の効果を奏する。
本実施形態においては、隣り合う蓄電素子群12のうち、一方の蓄電素子群12Aの一端部に配される電極端子14であって隣り合う他方の蓄電素子群12B側に配される第1電極端子16Aと、他方の蓄電素子群12Bの、一方の蓄電素子群12Aの一端部とは反対側の他端部に配される電極端子14であって隣り合う一方の蓄電素子群12A側に配される第2電極端子16Bと、を接続する第1接続部材20によって隣り合う蓄電素子群12A,12Bが接続される。
以下、本発明の実施形態2を図11~図14を参照しつつ説明する。実施形態1と同様の構成については同一の符号を付し重複した説明は省略する。
本実施形態では図11における左側の蓄電素子群(一方の蓄電素子群の一例、第1蓄電素子群42Aとする)は、図示右上の蓄電素子(第3蓄電素子43とする)とも電気的に接続されているという点で実施形態1と相違する(図11を参照)。
第1蓄電素子群42Aは、図11に示すように、本体部17の電極形成面17Aに正極および負極の電極端子14を有する4つの蓄電素子13を直列に接続してなる。第2蓄電素子群42Bは、図11に示すように、本体部17の電極形成面17Aに正極および負極の電極端子14を有する3つの蓄電素子13を直列に接続してなる。各蓄電素子群42においては、図11の上下方向において隣り合う蓄電素子13,13の電極端子14,14の極性が逆極性となるように配されている。
本実施形態において、第1接続部材50は、銅、銅合金、ステンレス鋼(SUS)、アルミニウム等の金属からなる。第1接続部材50は、図11における左下に配される端部に第1電極端子46Aに接続される端子接続部51を有し、図示右上に配される端部に第2電極端子46Bに接続される端子接続部51を有する。第1接続部材50の2つの端子接続部51をつなげる部分は連係部53である。連係部53は斜め方向に配される。
第3接続部材54は、銅、銅合金、ステンレス鋼(SUS)、アルミニウム等の金属からなる長方形状の接続部材である。第3接続部材54の長さ寸法は第1蓄電素子群42Aの右側の電極端子と第3蓄電素子43の左側の電極端子14間の寸法に応じた長さであり、ボルト(図示せず)の軸部が挿通される通し孔56が一対貫通形成されている。この通し孔56の形状は、左右方向に長い長円形状をなす。
絶縁プロテクタ61は絶縁材料からなり、図11に示すように、蓄電素子群42ごとに2つのユニット61A,61Bに分割可能とされる。絶縁プロテクタ61は2つのユニット61A,61Bが第3保持部64に設けられた連結部65を介して連結された構成である。2つのユニット61A,61Bが連結されることにより第2保持部66および第3保持部64が形成されるようになっている。
次に、蓄電素子群42の接続方法について説明する。
図12に示すように4つの蓄電素子13を隣り合う電極端子14A,14Bが逆極性となるように並べてなる第1蓄電素子群42Aと、3つの蓄電素子13を隣り合う電極端子14A,14Bが逆極性となるように並べてなる第2蓄電素子群42Bを作製し、当該2つの蓄電素子群42A,42Bを横並びにして配置する。ついで、第2蓄電素子群42Bの図示上方に第3蓄電素子43を配置する。
本実施形態においても実施形態1と同様に、蓄電素子群42を構成する蓄電素子13の数にかかわらず1つの第1接続部材50により隣り合う2つの蓄電素子群42A,42Bを電気的に接続することができるので、軽量化が可能であるとともに、電気的に接続するための部材を作製するための材料を減らすことができる。その結果、本実施形態によれば、コストを低減しかつ軽量化した蓄電素子群の接続構造40を提供することができる。
・本実施形態によれば、絶縁プロテクタ61が蓄電素子群42ごとに分割可能であり、絶縁プロテクタ61の第2保持部66の保護壁66Cと、第1接続部材50の連係部53との間にクリアランスC3が設けられているから、第1接続部材50が第2保持部66内で移動し、蓄電素子13,13の並び方向、および蓄電素子群42の並び方向における、第1電極端子46Aと端子接続部51との位置ずれや第2電極端子46Bと端子接続部51との位置ずれを吸収することができる。
本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
(1)上記実施形態では、蓄電素子群12ごとに分割可能な絶縁プロテクタ31を備える例を示したが、一体型の絶縁プロテクタであってもよい。
(2)上記実施形態では、第1接続部材20の連係部23と保護壁36Cとの間、および第1接続部材20の端子接続部21の端部21Aと保護壁36Cとの間に、それぞれクリアランスC1,C2が設けられている例を示したが、いずれか一方にのみクリアランスが設けられていてもよい。
(3)上記実施形態では、蓄電素子群12に位置決めされる位置決め部38を有する絶縁プロテクタ31を示したが、位置決め部を備えないものであってもよい。
(4)上記実施形態2では、2つの蓄電素子群42および1つの蓄電素子13(第3蓄電素子43)を接続してなる蓄電モジュールを示したが、1つの蓄電素子13に代えて複数の蓄電素子からなる蓄電素子群を2つの蓄電素子群と、接続してもよい。また、接続される蓄電素子群は4以上であってもよい。

隣り合う前記蓄電素子群を接続する接続部材を、一方の前記蓄電素子群の一端部に配される電極端子であって隣り合う他方の前記蓄電素子群側に配される第1電極端子と、前記他方の蓄電素子群の、前記一方の蓄電素子群の一端部とは反対側の他端部に配される電極端子であって隣り合う前記一方の蓄電素子群側に配される第2電極端子と、に接続することにより複数の蓄電素子群を電気的に接続する蓄電素子群の接続構造。 - 絶縁材料からなり、前記接続部材を保持する保持部を有するとともに、前記蓄電素子群ごとに分割可能な絶縁プロテクタを備え、
前記接続部材は、前記第1電極端子及び前記第2電極端子とにそれぞれ接続される2つの端子接続部、ならびに2つの前記端子接続部をつなげる連係部を有する一方、前記絶縁プロテクタの保持部は、前記接続部材の周縁に沿って配される保護壁を有し、
前記接続部材の前記連係部と前記保護壁との間には、クリアランスが設けられている請求項1に記載の蓄電素子群の接続構造。 - 前記接続部材の前記端子接続部の端部と前記保護壁との間には、クリアランスが設けられている請求項2に記載の蓄電素子群の接続構造。
- 前記絶縁プロテクタは前記蓄電素子群に位置決めされる位置決め部を有する請求項2または請求項3に記載の蓄電素子群の接続構造。
- 前記接続部材の前記連係部には前記絶縁プロテクタの前記保持部に係止される係止部が設けられている請求項2ないし請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の蓄電素子群の接続構造。
