Abstract

A rigid package for smoking articles comprises a bundle (4) of articles enclosed by an internal wrapper (3) and a rigid external container (2) housing the internal wrapper (3) and having an open extremity (21). A rigid collar (5) placed between the wrapper (3) and the container (2) projects partially from the open extremity. An empty interspace (7) between the internal wrapper (3) and the external container (2) is provided by means of two tabs (55) of the collar (5), each tab (55) being positioned as a continuation of each of two lateral walls (52) and placed perpendicularly to a rear wall (54) of the collar (5). The tabs are in contact with an inner wall of the external container (2) and fix the internal wrapper (3) in an interspaced position with regard to the external container (2).
