Abstract
Certains objets d'intérêt qui sont projetés devant la fovéa ont une résolution médiocre et manquent d'informations de couleur, ce qui nécessite un mouvement des yeux pour obtenir une image et une perception complètes du monde environnant. Les mouvements des yeux émanent de différentes zones du cerveau, lesquelles peuvent être affectées par une maladie et/ou une lésion. Ainsi, différents troubles neurologiques affecteront une myriade de mouvements des yeux de plusieurs manières différentes. La présente invention concerne un système et une méthode automatisés permettant de détecter, d'analyser et de récapituler les mouvements des yeux d'une personne, qui sont utilisés pour détecter (diagnostiquer) (soit avant soit après l'apparition de symptômes de ladite maladie neurologique), pour confirmer un diagnostic antérieur, et/ou pour surveiller l'efficacité de traitement de diverses maladies neurologiques, de troubles de mouvement neurologiques et de lésions potentielles du cerveau. Les mouvements des yeux analysés et ayant fait l'objet d'une récapitulation sont catalogués, interprétés et utilisés dans une matrice de diagnostic pour mettre en évidence et distinguer des mouvements anormaux des yeux et pour établir un diagnostic clinique ou préclinique/présymptomatique objectif sur la base des procédures de test non invasives.
