Abstract

La durée de vie d'un haut fourneau est déterminée par l'état du creuset. De nombreux thermocouples sont intégrés dans le revêtement réfractaire et les relevés de température sont surveillés pour détecter des augmentations soudaines de température. Ces derniers fournissent des avertissements concernant l'approche du corps de métal chaud par rapport à la périphérie du haut fourneau, ce qui peut générer une usure réfractaire menant à une panne. Du fait que les conséquences peuvent être importantes, les relevés de température doivent être interprétés correctement. Cette invention décrit un procédé permettant d'estimer le profil de revêtement réfractaire exclu ainsi que l'épaisseur de la chemise protectrice. L'invention donne ainsi des indications afin de poursuivre l'exploitation du fourneau, d'orienter le travail de réparation vers les zones critiques, ainsi que de suggérer le remplacement de capteurs défectueux. Ainsi, ce procédé sert à augmenter la durée de vie de travail de hauts fourneaux.
