Abstract

Cette invention concerne des procédés catalytiques pour convertir des acides carboxyliques issus de biomasses et autres sources naturelles ou industrielles en hydrocarbures paraffiniques ou oléfiniques par décarboxylation, ainsi que des produits formés à partir de ces hydrocarbures. La longueur de la chaîne carbonée, le rapport du carbone 14 au carbone 12, et le rapport du nombre impair au nombre pair de carbones dans la chaîne sont, entre autres, des facteurs qui indiquent, ou peuvent être utiles pour la détection des hydrocarbures formés par la mise en œuvre des procédés revendiqués.
