Description
DESCRIPTION
DEVICE FOR FASTENING THE REINS
Technical framework
The present application discloses a device for fastening the reins.
State of art
Reins consist of leather straps attached to a bit which the rider uses to command an animal. However, there is an exceeding part of the reins. This exceeding part is the part of the reins that don't connect the rider's hand to the horse's mouth but on the other hand, connects the left rein to the right rein. This binding is usually done through a buckle. Several times this exceeding part of the reins causes difficulties to action of the rider, for example when it arrests to the saddle flap or to the rider' s leg .
Therefore, many riders choose to curl the exceeding reins over their hand. Though being simple, this solution has some disadvantages such as:
• it causes a larger volume on the rider' s hands and may harm his sensibility;
• it limits the range of the rider's hand action;
• it can be accidentally lost by the rider during competition, causing distraction.
The present invention intents to overcome these problems using a device for fastening the reins, which can be applied for example on the front area of the saddle, which
not only brings more comfort but also may eliminate potential sources of distraction to the rider, especially in competition situations.

Detailed description
The technology now disclosed will be described in detail with reference to the attached figures and some special cases, which however are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
The application discloses a device for fastening the reins to the saddle / saddle pad/ saddle cloth comprising the following elements: fastening element (1) with or without elasticity responsible for attaching the buckle that connects the left rein to right rein (2), to the elastic connection element (6, 7, or 8) ;
- elastic connection element (6, 7 or 8) responsible for attaching the said fastening element (1) to the frontal area of the saddle/saddle pad/saddle cloth allowing the mobility of the reins.
The device described in this application also allows the rider to attach the fastening element to the ring with one hand while controlling the horse with the other hand, connecting and disconnecting the device, fastening the reins to the frontal area of the saddle/saddle pad/ saddlecloth, or relieving them. Using the device conveniently avoids discomfort, distraction and possible sources of accidents.
The fastening element (1) of the reins on the device used for attachment of reins is a ring or mobile segment, or a carabiner, or a hook or a velcro hook. Any of these solutions may have elasticity.
The device for attaching reins disclosed in this application allows, among other advantages, greater comfort, safety of the rider and / or eliminate potential sources of distraction to the rider when riding the equine, for example a horse or a pony, thus avoiding possible
accidents and changing the position of the reins in movement that is galloping or trotting.
The excess part of the reins is that part of the reins that does not connect the hands of the rider to the horse's mouth but continued connects the left rein to the right rein, and usually has a buckle to make that connection.
The device is composed by a fastening system (1) that attaches the tip end of the reins to a ring at the front of the saddle (3) where the rider is mounted, to the front of the saddlecloth ( 5 ) or even to the front of the saddle pad (4) which lies between the saddlecloth and the saddle. This fastening system may be placed in the buckle that connects the left rein to the right rein.
Optionally this fastening system can be attached to the front of the saddle where the rider is mounted, the front of the saddle cloth (5), or the front of the saddle pad(4) .
In any case, by using an elastic fastening system, this solution secures a sufficient level of elasticity to ensure the rider and the equine, such as a horse or pony, the necessary freedom of movement for the various equestrian activities .
This device allows the rider to pack the exceeding part of the reins in a reliable and tidy way, thus preventing that it may result in a nuisance or a distraction.
If the rider to loses the reins when riding his horse or pony, this invention also provides greater ease in retrieving the reins, thus ensuring greater safety of the
rider in control of his horse or pony and greater safety of the horse or pony, which does not run the risk of stepping on the reins, thus preventing possible accidents.
The rider may attach and unattach the reins to the fontal area of the saddle with this invention with only one hand, holding the control of the animal with the other hand. The devices that comprises this device, do not interfere with the activity of the rider or horse if they are not linked or in use.
The ring or the mobile segment with the carabiner should be made preferably in plastic and / or metal, although other materials may be used provided they do not compromise the structural safety of the device.
The elasticity given to the positioning of the elastic connecting element, which can be an elastic or stretchable fabric, was calculated so that, the action of the hand of the rider upward or forward, isn't blocked by the device.
This elastic connecting element may be attached to the saddle through two rings, preferably with a D-shaped configuration, which are an integral part of the saddle, or being supported by the girth' belts.
Alternatively, this elastic connection element may be attached to the saddle pad (7) .
Alternatively, this elastic connecting element (8) can be fastened to the saddle cloth. The connection between the fastening element of the reins and the elastic element may be made by a ring.
The present embodiment is of course not in any way restricted to the embodiments described in this document and a person with ordinary skills in the area may provide many possibilities to change it without departing from the general idea as defined in the claims.
The preferred embodiments described above are obviously combinable. The following claims define further preferred embodiments .
