Abstract

Methods and apparatus for connecting and transmitting voltage and/or current varying signals and/or electrical power between electrical devices; such as audio or video equipment with either an analog or digital signal, or similar circuits; including a novel method for controlling the shield energy by means of an electrical filter electrically connected between the shield network and the electrical ground potential. The electrical filter provides a method and apparatus for controlling the energy on the electromagnetic shielding by dissipating energy at frequencies outside of the frequency ranges of the signal reducing electromagnetic noise and interference on the signal conductors.
