Abstract

Bearing shield for mounting a bearing (23) for the shaft (8a, 8b) of a rotor (7a, 7b) in the housing (2) of a compressor (1), expander, vacuum pump or the like, wherein the bearing shield (5) is made from a metal sheet (12) whereby a bearing seat (10) for the bearing (23) is formed by drawing and/or punching the metal sheet (12) and/or by welding a tube to the metal sheet (12).
