Abstract
Methods and apparatus disclosed herein relate to emergency lighting in which a lighting driver (140, 240, 340, 540, 640) may be powered by a mains input during normal operating conditions and the same lighting driver (140, 240, 340, 540, 640) may be powered by a direct current output during emergency operating conditions. An emergency lighting device (120, 220, 320, 420, 520, 620) provides the direct current output from a battery (122, 2222, 522, 622) to the driver (140, 240, 340, 540, 640) during emergency operating conditions.
