Abstract

There is presented and described a heat exchanger having a multiplicity of heat exchanger pipes (1), a gas plate (2), and elements for the fastening of the heat exchanger pipes (1), wherein the heat exchanger pipes (1) are longitudinally welded pipes. In order to improve heat exchangers which are used under corrosive conditions, in particular with regard to particular heat exchanger components and in particular for a use for flue-gas cooling in power plants, so as to attain improved resistance to pitting and improved corrosion characteristics in sulphuric acid or in a mixed acid containing sulphuric acid, it is provided that, to attain resistance to corrosion, at least the heat exchanger pipes (1) are formed from the material 2.4700.
