Abstract

The invention relates to a device and to a method for visualizing a three-dimensional volume region of an object on a surface of the object (1). Taking into account the viewing angle of the observer, a corresponding 3-D data set is adapted in such a way that the observer can see and evaluate a three-dimensional visualization of a volume region of the object (1) in real time. The object (1) can thus be processed easily and reliably. The invention is suitable in particular for nondestructive testing, medical treatment or shaping of an object.
