Abstract

The invention relates to a device for generating electrical energy from a heat source, in particular from the waste heat of a plant, having a first heat exchanger (12), in which a process medium, in particular CO2, of the device can be heated by means of the heat source, wherein the heated process medium can be fed to a turbine (18) and, after passage through the turbine, can be cooled to a predefined temperature by means of a second heat exchanger (34), the outlet of which is coupled via a compressor (26) to an inlet of the first heat exchanger, wherein the second heat exchanger is air-cooled.
