Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de générer, de propager, de coder, de décoder, de moduler et de détecter des signaux acoustiques dans un trou de forage de puits comprenant un générateur de signal situé à un premier emplacement pour générer un signal de source acoustique; un milieu pour la propagation du signal de source acoustique jusqu'à un second emplacement et la propagation des réflexions et des réflexions partielles des signaux acoustiques lorsqu'ils se propagent dans le milieu; un appareil qui élimine une quantité détectable d'énergie des signaux acoustiques qui se sont propagés; un modulateur de signal pouvant être commandé qui atténue le signal de source acoustique transmis; et un récepteur qui reçoit les signaux acoustiques modulés réfléchis et/ou partiellement réfléchis par au moins un réflecteur respectivement placé à un ou plusieurs autres emplacements.
