Abstract
The invention relates to an energy supply system (1) for supplying electrical energy to electrical loads (2) in rail vehicles (100). The invention further relates to a rail vehicle (100) having at least one energy supply system. In order to supply electrical loads (2) in a rail vehicle (100), an energy supply system (1) is proposed. The energy supply system (1) has at least one central unit (3) and at least one decentralized frequency converter (4). In turn, the central unit (3) is provided with at least one central unit inlet (5) for receiving electrical energy, and with at least one central unit outlet (6) for transferring the electrical energy to the decentralized frequency converter(s) (4). The transfer is done by way of an alternating current voltage, in particular a three-phase alternating current voltage. The decentralized frequency converter (4) has at least one frequency converter inlet (7) for receiving at least portions of the energy transferred from the central unit (3), and at least one frequency converter outlet (8) for releasing the electrical energy to at least one electrical load (2).
