Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de fracturation. Le système comprend un sous-système de pompage entraîné par moteur électrique conçu pour pomper un fluide de fracturation sous pression dans au moins un puits de forage sous des conditions de haute pression suffisantes pour augmenter la pression en fond de trou du puits de forage afin qu'elle dépasse celle du gradient de fracture de la matière solide entourant le puits de forage. Le système comprend aussi un sous-système de production d'énergie électrique qui fournit de l'énergie au sous-système de pompage. Le sous-système de production d'énergie électrique comprend une multitude de moteurs électriques qui sont alimentés par une seule source d'alimentation électrique. L'invention concerne aussi un processus associé d'extraction d'hydrocarbures d'une formation rocheuse réservoir par l'opération de fracturation.
