ELECTRIC GENERATOR AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM
THE CONCEPT
This section of the marketability report reviews the concept as described by the inventor. The concept is captured in a clear, concise statement, and the invention is described.
New product concepts statement
A concept is a vision of how an invention would look and perform; a product invention is a tangible thing. In order to sell new products, it is important that the concept and the invention be merged. Accordingly, The electric generator and battery charging system-E.G.B.C.S., As invented by Henry Leason. Conceptually Speaking, this invention would equip electric automobiles with a system of multiple wind turbines or electrical Generators, such that the turbine blades would turn, generating electrical current, in response to wind resistance As the vehicle moves forward- thus re-charging the battery or batteries of the vehicle and eliminating the need for Plug-in charging through the electrical grid. The electric motor vehicle traveling at highway speed- to power an electrical generator/alternator, thus providing direct current, direct to the electric motor and to re-charge the vehicle's battery.
Recognizing the potential to create a dramatic advance in automotive technology and dramatically Reduce our society's dependence on fossil fuels for transportation. Mr. Henry Leason has conceived a new Product invention when he actually terms the electric generator and charging system-E.G.B.C.S. would be a system of current generating wind turbines that would be strategically arrayed along the top and sides of an electric vehicle, and would use wind resistance to turn the turbine blades as the vehicle moves forward, the turbines thus generating direct current or electric motors and re-charging them vehicle's battery or batteries.
As described by Mr. Leason in his testimonial of invention as depicted in his design sketches, the E.G. B.C.
would employ nine individual turbine units and five solar panels on the rack. Each of the individual turbine units encased in a tube shaped housing, with a scooped front end to allow a larger volume air-flow and to accommodate the turning rotor blades. Each of the turbines would connect by direct drive to a generator/alternator, this in turn delivering direct current to the vehicle's electric motor and battery or batteries, and eliminating the need for plug-in re-charging through the public electrical grid. Mr. Leason's concept would create a new category of wind vehicle, that of the electrically powered vehicle which uses wind turbines to convert the kinetic energy of wind- resistance, as the vehicle moves forward, into electric current. The turbine blades of direct-drive, high-speed generator/alternators, which would generate direct current and deliver it to an electric motor or storage batteries, the batteries then power-ing the vehicle's electric motor. Mr. Leason has not invented an electric car, but rather a system by which an electric car could supply electric power to its own motor and re-charge its own batteries through motion and wind resistance, such that the system would operate in the self-supporting, regenerating, endless or perpetual motion, simultaneously producing work while re-charging itself to full potential capacity.
