Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Kolben (10) für einen Verbrennungsmotor aus einem auf Eisen basierenden Werkstoff, mit einem Kolbenkopf (11) und einem Kolbenschaft (12), wobei der Kolbenkopf (11) einen Kolbenboden (13), einen umlaufenden Feuersteg (15) sowie eine Ringnuten (17a, 17b, 17c) umfassende umlaufende Ringpartie (16) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass mindestens eine Ringnut (17a, 17b) mindestens eine Einlage (24, 27) aus einem auf Zink basierenden Werkstoff aufweist.
