Abstract
The invention relates to a dried, unfired material from at least one silicate-containing base material and a water-repelling agent. The base material selected from marl, clay, lime or mixtures thereof is contained in an amount between 35 and 95% by weight, and at least 8% of at least one water-repelling agent selected from oils or greases and optionally one or more organic or inorganic additives are included, the remainder being water. The invention relates furthermore to a method for producing a dried, unfired material, which is characterised by water resistance and frost resistance.
