- a suitable daily dose of a compound of the invention will be that amount of the compound that is the lowest dose effective to produce a therapeutic effect. Such an effective dose will generally depend upon the factors described above. Generally, intravenous, intracerebroventncular and subcutaneous doses of the compounds of this invention for a patient will range from about 0.0001 to about 100 mg per kilogram of body weight per day. If desired, the effective daily dose of the active compound may be administered as two, three, four, five, six or more sub-doses administered separately at appropriate intervals throughout the day, optionally, in unit dosage forms. In some embodiments, the dose will be 1-20, or 5-10 mg per kilogram of body weight, administed twice daily. Kits:

- reaction was slowly brought to RT and continued for another 2 h. After consumption of the starting material (by TLC), the reaction was quenched with ice cold water and extracted with Et 2 0 (3 x 10 mL). The combined organic extracts were dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the crude material which was purified by silica gel column chromatography (MeOH/CH 2 Cl 2 1 : 19) to afford compound 13 (100 mg, 49%) as an oil.
- THC-013 (90 mg, 0.176 mmol) in dry THF (20 mL), at 0°C HF- pyridine (2 mL) was added drop-wise. The reaction mixture was slowly warmed to RT, stirred for 36h and neutralized with saturated NaHC0 3 solution. The aqueous layer was extracted with EtOAc (2 x 20 mL) and the combined organic extracts were dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the crude material which was purified by silica gel column chromatography (EtOAc/Hexane 1:4) to afford THC-052 (30 mg, 43%) as a liquid.
- reaction mixture was diluted with Et 2 0 (30 mL), the organic layer was separated and washed with water (2 x 5 mL), brine, dried over anhydrous Na 2 S0 4 , filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure.
- the crude material was filtered through a short pad of silica gel (EtOAc/hexane 1 :49) to give compound 32 (19.7 mg, 70%) along with impurities which could not be separated.
