Abstract

The technical solution relates to the field of medicine, and, more specifically, to traumatology and orthopaedics. A fixation device for treatment of a fracture of the distal metaepiphysis of the radius is proposed, the fixation device consisting of a perforated plate having an epiphysial portion and a diaphysial portion with lockable screws. The epiphysial and diaphysial portions have additional lateral branches directed towards the diaphysial portion of the radius, and a metaphysial portion arranged perpendicularly to the diaphysial portion. The fixation device forms an "F-like" shape with curvatures which anatomically duplicate the shape of the radius in the distal portion, wherein screws in the lateral branches are introduced perpendicularly to screws in the diaphysial portion, and screws of the metaphysial portion are introduced at an angle in relation to the diaphysial portion. The use of the technical solution makes it possible to reduce the duration of an operation and the treatment period, and provides for stable osteosynthesis and an increase in the ease of carrying out an operation owing to additional positioning of the fixation device not being necessary.
